I saw Jimmy Eat World in Hamilton (Convention Centre - about 1400 capacity) last night. My third time seeing them, and by far the best. For an $18.00 ticket / small venue show, it was a huge production. They had all this High End Systems lighting gear -- more than OLP have ever used, even in arenas! The backdrop looked like a black curtain at first, but a few songs in it totally lit up into a starfield. It looked so cool. All these little lights behind the band twinkling to the music. There were some set decorations as well. The band finally has a budget for their live shows.

The sound was solid and Jim was actually a lot of fun on stage... he joked with audience members a lot. At one point, he looked really pissed and was pointing to his ears. The audio tech ran on stage and started tinkering with the battery pack for Jim's in-ear monitors. Meanwhile, the rest of the band all went off stage, grabbed pies, and tossed them at this poor audio guy. It was his birthday and the band played a mean little prank.

Overall, it was a great night in steel town.

Today's thing: I went to Tower Records to get the new Silverchair CD and a Radiohead poster.. but they didn't have Diorama yet!! :| They say it'll be in next week... but im like, 'It was supposed to be here yesterday, damnit!!'
Anyhoo, on the way in, I looked on the sidewalk to see if I could still see the CM graffiti, but it's gone!! hahaha, i thought it was the funniest thing ever! What the heck!! they didn't like it?? :wtf:
And on the way home in the car I heard Is Anybody Home? on 89X.... it was grand.
I'm leaving for Ohio to visit my cousin for a week tomorrow. So yea, I won't be here... unless I use her computer sometimes. I want to burn a CD before I leave, but I don't have enough good songs to make a mix... :freak:
Ok, enough talking for Diana..

I'll miss ya Diana
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Ooh, I want a tatto one day. Any suggestions people? I never really thought about it, but I would like something that I can say I'm proud of, for my whole life. Oh, and not OLP! :P

Anyone see that new Austin Powers music video? It is hella sweet!

speaking of pedestrians, a fun thing to do in Ann Arbor is to run in front of traffic...my one friend made a bus slam on its breaks!!! You don't have to look both ways when you cross the street in A squared, you just walk, and make the cars stop for you. It's their fault that they decided to drive through a pedestrian city.

One month exactly until I get to go back to school!!!! woo hoo!!!! only 30 days!!!

Hey Beth, let me know when a bus isn't able to stop and runs you over, mmmk? That is, if you live when the tons of steel slam into your body, either sending you 20 feet down the road or dragging you under the bus, either way, leading to your eventual bloody death.

ok, I'll call you on my non-existant cell phone and let you know that I'm getting dragged by a bus.

and I would never walk in front of a bus, my stupid friend did that. I prefer cars.

Oh yesh, because getting hit by a car can't possibly kill some one

ah, shush. I was only kidding. Why in the hell would I run in front of a car? I always look both ways when I cross the street and sometimes walk when cars are coming, but only if they can see me, so that they'll slow down.
