K-ROCK in Syracuse

every night on this station they do a battle of the bands type thing where the winner of the previous night goes on to face a new song each day...anyways, they post who was on it and who won on their website and i check pretty often cause its usually stuff that's rather new that i havent heard before. well apparently on thursday night it was our lady peace vs. flaw. the OLP song was 'all for you' and the flaw song doesnt matter cause they suck ass, but flaw ended up winning. thats just really sad.

that's just plain wrong. I'm from the syracuse area and used to listen to KRock all the time. What went wrong?!?!?

Bort we have something in Philly almost exactly like that, the cage match, every night a band takes on another band with new music and the winner goes on to the next night. olp was on last month and they won for i think 6 straight days before losing to some suck ass band, don't remember who though.

oh for crying out loud, WHO CARES? it's too late to do anything about it. it's not like we could all call in long distance to save OLP every single night from every single battle-of-the-bands competition.

the fact is, the general listening population is going to pick the most top 40's sounding band that's available. OLP, hopefully, will NEVER be a top 40's band, unless the top 40's radically changes their everlasting boy-band-worshipping-format. OLP is NOT Blink 182 or Creed, dammit! and YAY for them!

WOAH! What you are forgetting to mention is that ALL FOR YOU won the two bands compition on KROCK the 3 nights prior to losing. No one has a long reign in that compitition. But I hate to say it I liked the FLAW song. Long live OLP AND LONG LIVE KROCK, JJ u da Man!!

Detroit has the same thing as your music station. I mean, look at the Spritual Machines cd. In Repair lasted 4 days, Life went for 4, Right Behind You went for 3. Songs don't go longer than 5 wins in a row, no matter who it is.
