Just wanted to know if there were any other Beatlemaniacs on the board?
Or am I the only one? :|

Beatles = Good.
I should listen to them more. My mother gave me her lone Beatles tape.

well they have some good songs, but most of there songs are pop type of happy easy go lucky songs, which i dont think anyone can argue since they are the top "teenpop sensation" band of all time
when they were singing i wanna hold your hand, bands like the stones were singing lets spend the night together, starfucker and sympathy for the devil, their was the doors with songs like light my fire, break on through and the end, all amazing songs
later on the beatles did some good stuff but then they broke up
im just saying theres better bands by far
weather it be the rolling stones or the doors

Does it matter what they were singing? I think "I wanna hold your hand" is a better message than "Couldn't get much higher. Baby would you light my fire?"...

I know I didn't quote it right, but you get my point...

And not everything has to be complicated. Sometimes less is more. Simple can be good too.

i know what your saying but when its always something simple to just take at face value it gets boring and repetive

Actually, they weren't repetative at all. They evolved greatly over the years. Their music actually became more complicated. They (IMO) weren't overrated because they were doing exactly what they wanted to do, and it was the perfect music for the time.
