Spiritual Machines II Discussion
Re: Spiritual Machines II Discussion
The demos were an interesting peek into the process. I got the feeling on a few of the demos there were sounds being layered in, just to layer in sound. No purpose to it. There weren't any demos that after hearing I thought, "they should have left that alone." Future Disease comes close, but the final version is better overall (even if I wish it was about 1:30 shorter). The demos are all in 128kbps mp3 format, if you were wondering.

Re: Spiritual Machines II Discussion
I was hoping that future disease had some more lyrics originally but it looks like it was pretty close from the demo

so basically based on Steve and Duncan's responses in the discord chat....
Looks like Mike on the tour might just be as a "hologram", not live. Damn...

He's not dead though! Bring him in. Life is short lets see Mike and Steve both on stage for this!
Re: Spiritual Machines II Discussion
We can hope. I feel like Toronto and Montreal would be the places it would happen if it does. However, Steve was either completely honest in Discord chat about Mike not joining in person, or he went full Andrew Garfield. We can hope though!

Raine and Duncan are going live on YouTube/Facebook on Wednesday May 25 with Mike Turner for a catch up interview and chatting about the upcoming tour! They also posted some videos and pics of Mike hanging out with them

Re: Spiritual Machines II Discussion
Sounded like Mike will make a handful of appearances in person with them according to the YouTube video. Raine seemed to be going full Tom Holland with the spoilers, haha.

25 song set each night. Hopefully it's a different set each night but this looks fun. Looking forward to hearing some of these!

Re: Spiritual Machines II Discussion
Did anyone here happen to go to the show last night? I tried finding a setlist but have come up empty so far.
Re: Spiritual Machines II Discussion
Other than Mike playing in person, the only other thing I've heard was the setlist clocked in around 21 songs. Not sure on that accuracy though. One of the Discord mods went but has yet to drop any info.

Very interesting set. Raine had mentioned 25 songs earlier, I wonder if some shows will have a few differences (thief, OMA, Is Anybody Home) all being notable absences.

This set list looks great, very happy to see a few of these up there, especially Everyone's A Junkie! We're flying up to the Calgary show this Saturday and I can't wait!

The Beatles cover is Tomorrow Never Knows. Are you Sad was played last night in hologram form. One Man Army was played in place of Heavyweights last night

I saw a link to a B-Side called "Neurosis" on their reddit page:

I quite like it!

You can check out our live video of it on the CM's YouTube channel, over in the 2023 tour thread, or on the main news page. This song was made available through the Drrrops app for fans at shows on the most recent tour. It's a pretty good track.
