It seems crazy that they would just link them to a website to download the song from. I believe that Warner Music had a part of the release of Curve but Coalition seems like a joke. The band no longer has the popularity of the early 2000's but they have a decent fanbase. The should still be able to garner a little radio play in the US and lots in Canada. But there has been zero promotion for Somethingness.

That being said, I expected the band to be disappointed at its release but watching the facebook sneak peak. They seemed excited and even mentioned the possibility of Vol 3.
i gotta wonder if something about jeremy's departure "broke" them... they just haven't seemed the same since. jer did seem like quite a significant part of their lives, professional and otherwise.

Maybe in a sense, but if so, it certainly hasn't manifested in the form of uninspired music. I love what we've heard so far.

I was talking to a coworker today, and he said he heard "Drop Me In the Water" on Edmonton's Sonic Radio. So it's definitely being played here. I don't listen to the radio often, but that station has always been supportive of OLP. Coworker (who is not a fan) thinks OLP sounds a lot like Muse in the song. since it's been mentioned here, too.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

Guys i think that it's only that band is good with his "old but gold" status...i think that they're more than happy to stay in Canadian limits (and for some hardcore US fans they'll do the Clumsy Tour), they don't push their new things at a good level since Burn Burn (pratically since they became indipendents)...they're fine with actual status...this is a shame for me because they're really talented and also some songs from the last years (As Fast As You Can but also Won't Turn Back and Nice To Meet You, that probably aren't their bests but they meet the actual standards in terms of radio songs) should be radio hits in the WORLD but it really seems that they don't care...i'm angry also because i think that they'll never come back in Europe probably and is really really sad for me

I just received a PledgeMusic video update from Raine Maida stating Somethingness Vol. 2 will not be out on October 6th as previously stated. Raine goes on to say the band has written new material since they finished their run of shows with Guns N Roses. Raine finishes by saying the new material is really good and worth the extra wait. The video update is shot from the East/West recording studio in Hollywood/Los Angeles where OLP is recording in right now.

Also, the pledge fulfillment date changed from October 6 to December 15. Not a good sign. But OLP has never come close to a public time frame they set. So I'm not surprised. Can't waiting to hear the new stuff.

That's brutal. So no full CD's at the Clumsy shows. Everything has been so disorganized

Well don't want to sound as an asshole but they're starting touring and they hadn't released anything...then December(2018) is probably assured :)

Sounds like there's more content to record and the albums is being pushed further out from its already pushed release date. I wonder if this means somethingness v2 is going to be longer than 4 tracks, if there will be a somethingness v3, or if they are cutting already recorded tracks to replace with the additional ones so they can tell us that the unreleased tracks they've already recorded are going to be released in the vault or the next album every few years.

Raine said Vol. 2 is done at last night's show in Cliffton Park, but didn't say when it'd drop. Played 2 new ones off of Vol. 2.

Finally some "marketing" around the album...on video description there is that on wednesday they'll drop the official video for "Drop Me In The Water" on the same page...they played the single, A Ballad of A Poet and Clumsy acoustic...surprised how Drop Me was good acoustic...and also the other two songs...Raine is a good shape in this video...also on the video there are some words about the tour and the new album, it seems that the release will be "before Christmas" and that they used another studio (not Raine one)...unfortunately the video is not synced with the audio but the quality is good...maybe someone can extract the mp3 of the session..

And last but not least there was an italian sponsor for the live (Fernet Branca :D )
