are presale tickets really a whole lot better than general tickets? i've found a handful of available floor seats for the ottawa show for the presale, but there are only a few, and they're kind of off to the side. i think i might just wait till the general sale to see what other options become available

I always found going through Massey Hall's site directly on the day of sales got the best tickets, for those considering there.

I got my presale tickets for Kelowna this morning! Did anyone else notice that the bands are selling 'VIP experiences' (i.e. pre-show meet&greet/acoustic session) for $250/ticket?? Wowsers! Remember the good ol' days when that was just part of an extremely inexpensive fan club membership??

$250 plus travel and lodging for us americans... I wish i could justify it. I was hoping to give raine a copy of my cd.

Hope y'all take some recordings, especially any OLP tracks featuring mike turner (which is what I'm anticipating).

Yeah I figured it would cost me and my husband around $500 to get to the TO show. With a little one, we just can't justify it at this point I haven't been to a show in over five years, I miss my OLPeeps and I feel like we're getting shafted over here.

Ugh, I bought "meh" tickets already and now i'm finding all these good seats instead. Also there are a ton of floor seats open now but the people i'm going with don't want to pay extra so i have to forgo all these awesome seats.

I bought tickets for $58/each two days ago and now I see that StubHub is selling tickets in the same row for $240/EACH!!!!!

I don't want to live in a world where this is a thing!

If you think the $250 is bad you should see what the scalpers are doing with the Tragically Hip tour. It's absolutely pathetic. I am in the same boat as many here in the US. I am still hoping for a Buffalo (Canada Junior) or Pittsburgh show to turn up.

It looks like the format of the VIP event is based on what IME did for their previous tour... not sure if the pricing was similar. I'm sure they'll make it special and worth it for those who can afford -- at least it sounds better than what the VIP tickets on past OLP tours got you, but of course the price is higher too.

got an e-mail last night from OLP stating that the VIP tickets do not get you into the venue to see the show. You actually need a VIP and regular Ticket if you want the whole experience.
