Personally, I don't mind waiting for Trapeze. In fact, I think I can understand the reasoning behind them not releasing it as of yet. This series of releases is undoubtedly for the more hardcore OLP fans, who know that Trapeze is coming down the pipeline eventually. That said, the first two songs were total surprises to me, and I really hope for many more surprises before the songs that we know (or can pretty accurately assume) are coming. If their intention was to truly give their real fans a fantastic gift, then gold stars all around for what they have done so far.

I haven't checked back with OLP since a couple weeks after I found out about "Won't Back Down"... I went to the site to check on any new album progress tonight and I find this gem! Holy cow! How did I not check in sooner? At any rate my ears are seriously pleased by the Not Afraid demo, that song is dripping with emotion. I am looking forward to more from the vault!

I do have one request though... Could anyone help me to get "No Warning"? I missed out, and have had no luck with google and the OLP official and facebook pages. Any help would be much obliged!

I'm thinking maybe Tuesday 23rd or Wednesday 24th for the release.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that we might be getting "Vampires".

Something about Raine's phrasing makes me think it'll be more than one song.

A live recording of Summertime Sadness cover from this past year.

I have to admit, I was expecting something better.

My email hasn't come through yet, but that's a bit disappointing, especially for the Christmas edition.

I haven't listened to it yet, but I don't think they could have picked anything that would have made me less excited.

EDIT: I'm listening to it now. I will say that it's nice to get a good quality recording of something. And I do think it's a very good cover. If I didn't keep up with OLP outside of their studio albums, or stopped keeping up with them in general and didn't know they covered this, it would be pretty cool.

I agree with Driven....in a first place it can be disappointing but guys listen to the song and you will enjoy it...i liked the cover when they made it in the live show...but this recording it's simply great and i love Raine's voice and emotion here...and it makes me sad in some ways because it's been a lot of time from the last official live recording (2003 then 11 years!!!!)...of course a b-sides would be better but i like the cover...and it's also nice to see the holyday video back! :D

It's a really good live recording. Raines vocals sound good. That being said... meh. I'd rather have gotten some original content from the band than a cover. That being said, i think I enjoyed this more than the other 2 tracks. Just a little closer to the style I preferred from them.

Man, I hope we get some more curve B sides too.

I just wanna clarify that nothing we're getting is "b-sides" lol. B-sides are the other songs released with a single, referring to the other side of the record.

But anyway, this recording is enjoyable, just not what I was hoping for after Raine said they were preparing something special for Christmas. Seems like it'd be better served as a release alongside another song.

I don't think the song is from a concert, despite the "crowd" noise. Raine sings the "I just wanted you to know" part in falsetto in the two times I've seen it in person, and the few other times I've seen live videos. Sounds like a dolled up rehearsal or studio recording. Of course I could be totally wrong. If it was from a show, Robin's keys are mixed in really well. They are definitely not that clear I in the PA mix at the shows I've been to.
