Aside from U2 and Bon Jovi there are few bands that have reinvented themselves with the quality that OLP has and it's the only reason their still around. If Clumsy sounded like Naveed they would have disappeared. If Gravity sounded like Spiritual Machines they would have dissapeared.
Each of their albums with the exception of Curve has been a direct reflection of that time in popular rock music, and it is no coincidence that the affore mentioned album is the only one without a hit single, and I don't mean that as a knock on Curve it was a fine album but it was the diversion not Won't Turn Back, most of us probably feel that OLP was best around the Happiness.. And Spiritual Machines era, but those albums were not a huge experiment when compared to Smashing Pumpkins or Radio Head it just so happens that pop music was better in those days.
After 2 years of snooping around I finally made an account just to reply to this:
So I found something interesting today regarding the new album:
So as you probably saw on Facebook today, OLP created a buzzfeed article sighting a number things that happened in 1995 including OLP playing their first Edgefest.
Now what's really interesting is they created a buzzfeed community account stating the follow:
Our Lady Peace is a rock band from Toronto, Canada. They just released the rhythmically infectious single “Won’t Turn Back” produced by Mike Elizondo (Dre, Eminem, Regina Spektor) & are releasing a new album in 2014.
Oh man, that was pretty lame. Also, It's Apollo 13, not Apollo 13th

Official video is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7FnrwZ4hus However is obvious that the song is a message to Jeremy or at least to someone that wants the band to stop (but i don't know who!)...take a look at the 1:05...on the wall there is "I'm not ready to stop" and then after "As If" that like a lot of us know it's the first name for the band before "Our Lady Peace"....firstly i don't like the video but today i watched again and i like it..i didn't checked if there are other "messagges" in the video...oh and is it just me or in the video there is the guest drummer Jason Pierce? Minute 1:39...
I hate the video. Especially the bits where the little girl looks like she's gliding through air. Love the song though. Also I'm pretty sure it's Steve on the MISSING posters, and Duncan at 1:10

Yes also i noticed Duncan and Steve.. Near the end there is also Raine if you look.. I wonder if thet guy that I'm talking is Jason Pierce.. However i loved the messagge "I'm not ready to stop... As If"!
I think it's a nice video. I was hoping that it would cut to the guys performing every now and again but I'm sure there's a reason they weren't in it very much (or at all).
If you believe in death, you're certain to die. If you believe in love, you're always alive.
I dig the video..I sometimes get bored of just seeing a band play. There are quite a number of cool effects going on (like the part where you're led to believe the girl will break that bowl and kill the fish). I like things being taken from a different perspective and this reminds me of music similar to bands like the Shins.
Truth is..we're not living in the early 1990s anymore. OLP is changing with the times and personally, I like different styles of music (including danceable pop) so more power to the band for continuing the music evolution.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong
So did everyone see the post on Facebook? If you call the number on Steve's Lost Poster in the music video, you get a little sample of what I assume is the next single. The number is: 315-210-8043.
It sounds pretty awesome actually, much less poppy than WTB, but they don't make it super easy to hear with some artistic number no longer exists. It's actually really cool!
Nice find... it doesnt sound anything like WTB (which I'm glad... I think its an alright song and a strong single, but i was afraid the whole album would be in the same vein). Can't hardly hear it though. Problem is, there is an operator error message that keeps playing over the track which is quiet and poor quality already... and it sounds like it eventually goes to voice mail.
Lyrics? down down down down....? Party like the world is caught on fire the .... desire down down down down....? When I fell(?)... we were.......
I've recorded the message you receive when you call the number on Steve's lost poster. The quality is exactly as the message plays so the distortion and "Please hang up" messages are as OLP intended. I think this whole thing is just awesomely cool
