Favorite Concert Moment of 2012
Lot's of you saw OLP live this year. From the 2012 shows (and we'll throw in New Year's at Niagara too), what was your favorite concert moment? Discuss!

My favourite moment of 2012 was hearing Heavyweight live for the first time on New Years in Niagara
Re: Favorite Concert Moment of 2012
The guys had to enter the stage by cutting through the crowd at subaltern in chicago, as it was such a small venue that there was no backstage.

There were a few for me... Hearing Birdman at Bowery Ballroom for the first time in who knows how long was just awesome (despite the crowd's lackluster reaction to it) I love that song. At the same show, hearing Starseed. I know that sounds weird because the song's such a staple, but it's always been one of my favorites, it's the song that got me into the band, and at the time of the show, there was a legitimate question as to whether or not they were going to play it... I still get chills from that song. Also, the stripped down version of Thief was truly a piece of art that I'm fortunate to have witnessed.
Another favorite moment was the change in setlist between the first and second legs of the tour. Paper Moon/Life was unbelievable and the surprise of hearing In Repair was great. The same goes for Not Enough.

My favorite moment from 2012 was just being able to attend two OLP shows in one year. It's been so long (since Gravity days) since I've been able to do that.

I can't pick just one! Detroit was amazing because Raine invited us into the soundcheck and we got to hear "Blister" for the first time in years but I got to hear "If This is It" for the first time and an acoustic version of "Picture" in Philadelphia.
Also, Raine wished me Happy Birthday from the stage in Grand Rapids thanks to Trusty. Too many shows makes it hard to choose one moment. #FirstWorldProblems

“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

The new songs live were awesome, but one oldie stands out as my favorite moment of the year. Clumsy, in Seattle, had an awesome energy build, and as it came to the end, Raine gave a slight hesitation and went into the extended outro for the song. It gave me cold chills. Regardless of whether or not microphones were near me, I had to cheer. Awesome moment.

That Clumsy outro was amazing! I have to wonder if you, me and Josh were the only ones in the crowd to really catch that!

My favourite concert moment was in Edmonton in April, when Raine said they understood tickets sold out quickly and were very hard to come by, but they were certain the tickets went to the right people. Seeing them in a tiny club was the most amazing thing ever.
Also for the show in Saskatoon, I was right up front at the barricade on Steve's side of the stage, been a long time since I was up front, and was very sore after, but it was so worth it to be that close.
