Haha, I was listening so much I didn't even consider this point. For a webrip, the quality is extremely decent though.

In particular, "Allowance" just sounds like a bunch of noise. It will definitely improve with the CD rip

It's a falsetto in Paper Moon's style! I really love all the songs except Mettle that i consider like a RK! And i want to tell that besides Steve on this record we have also Duncan that really shines! And also Jer....definitely Raine's voice is really inspired! I love all!! If i would rate the album for me he can go on the podium of my favorites albums...i need more listen!

All 4 of the guys have elevated their playing, I am very impressed.

I admit that after FITHH clip i was a little bit bothered! But after the full listen i can tell that is an amazing album! I can't stop to listen the album!!!! :D
The quality is better than i expected! Allowance reminds me some post grunge modern songs(i.e 3 Doors Down that is one of my favourite bands) and the intro is really good!

That might be why Allowance the AFAYC (we can abbreviate it by now, right?) are the tracks that don't stand out so much for me.

AFAYC is obiviously catchy...but at the same time is good....the bass had a sound that we never heard in OLP...is heavy like some rock songs! Raine sounds really inspired and i love it! Steve's is amazing and despite the catchy sound also Jer shines in the song...well we have different opinions and is right!

AFAYC, Find Our Way, and This is It could make phenom singles.

And these are the kind of singles that I'd proud to support. Catchy, but with a lot of integrity.

:wtf: Holy mother, I am absolutely floored by this album.... this is.... wow, this is fucking epic. I'll be listening to it constantly for the next 2 months.

Not one of the 30-second clips we heard even came close to doing these songs justice. OLP is back, it's almost like they skipped an entire decade and went from 2001 to 2012! I agree with whoever said this is like their 5th album, discounting Gravity, HIPT and Burn Burn. Brilliant record. Will rate the songs/album eventually.

I would love it if someone could create a new topic with a poll "favorite song on Curve", I would do it myself but I'm not sure how to create a poll. Lots of interesting feedback about everyone's favorite song, I would like to see what the consensus is.

I fucking love "Will Someday Change" that might even be my second fav behind If This Is It. Such a fucking amazing, yet simple song

Halfway through listening to it and... it's sublime. Well back OLP!!!

First thing which hit me is that it's produced a lot better than anything since Spiritual Machines. Will love getting the CD and listening to these with a pair of Bose headphones and hearing everything.

Yes I really like it too, it's definitely the "4AM", "Are You Sad" or "Thief" of this album. Beautiful vocals from Raine.

Absolutely cannot wait for As Fast You Can to drop in the US. Want it to see it cause some serious destruction.

Would love to see Find Our Way to get some play as well. That riff is pure rawk n roll.

Duncan's bass is phenomenal and really pops out in this mix. I absolutely love the tone.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant stuff by the guys.

Definitely up there with the earlier stuff. Highlights for me are 'If This Is It' (seriously, how good did this turn out?!?!), Find Our Way and Will Someday Change. I'm a big fan of Heavyweight anyway, and I've had Rabbits for a bit and that's one which grows and gets better and better.

Not quite on board with As Fast As You Can yet on a first listen, but like you guys said - there's so much going on that the quality makes it sound muddled. I do miss the Wolf chorus but I do like what they've replaced it with and it works. Window Seat has made a good transition but it has lost a little of its energy going from live to the studio version. That said, I think the whole thing sounds so well produced so a big round of applause for Jason Lader and what he's worked out of them.

Now onto a second listen... and third, and fourth :D

Okay after a few listens through I definitely have some favourites and not so favourites:

Top 3 are If This Is It, Heavyweight, Rabbits

Close Second are Allowance, FITHH, Window Seat, Find Our Way

Im not digging Mettle and Will Someday Change (I think I am the only one not diggin this one)....mettle is artistic and all, but doesnt do much for me....will someday change might grow on me with a few listens, but it might be the only one other than mettle that I will skip in the future...call me crazy cause everyone else is just loving it.
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?
