This is the first album since SM where the direction of the song is completely unpredictable, IMO. Really digging it all...

hehe - sorry but I gotta lol @ "ordinary sounding" oh riley, you so silly...there is pretty much nothing ordinary sounding on this entire record man.

honestly, you should try out some optimism and open-mindedness, both can really help you enjoy the finer things in life :)

Ordinary was the wrong word, I'll admit. I meant not-exciting, or something to that effect. Yes the chord progressions are different in some cases, but the songs themselves aren't very intricate (only some) and lack punch. I compare their new slower and mellow tracks to Are You Sad, as an example. That song was not even very complex, but it had a kind of edge to it, a rawness. Mettle and Will Someday Change seem to be very simple. Different, perhaps, but not exciting.

As I've said before, I'm only judging the clips. Maybe you chose the boring parts of the songs (though I don't know why you would do that). I'll wait until I hear the full songs for a full rating. But from what I've heard so far, there are 2 or 3 songs I'll probably skip over or remove from the CD. I did the same for HIPT (Walking in Circles, Al Genina, Apology), and others.

sorry man, I have no idea what's going on with this stream thing - honestly i only heard about it from you guys lol.

Riley, I dunno man, i am starting to cringe at your posts lately, I think im just going to have to ignore you from now on - BUT - it sounds like you should just make your own intricate, edgy, raw, non ordinary, punchy, less boring album full of crazy chord progressions and epic parts that you wont skip over songs or remove the CD and all that good stuff. You seem to have it all figured out, now all you have to do is make it :)

Riley, you should go play around with GarageBand instead of trying to take away from the positive energy on this board. Yes, I know, everyone is entitled to their own opinion...

latest clip very interesting, album is taking more of a mellow turn than I expected from heavyweight, definitely seems like a cross between BB and SM to me, which isn't surprising.

I don't mind having some people here complaining about the album...this record seems to be quite a departure from their usual sound and maybe a few will be turned off. That being said, I think way more people are psyched to hear this and loving the energy in here. As long as we keep the conversation constructive, I'm good :)

I can kind of see where Riley is coming from to an extent, but then again it's really hard to judge on some of these because the snippets don't really give a full scope of the entire track. It'd be a waste to just pluck the best bits of each one and stick 'em up for us to listen to after all, I'd rather go "oh wow this song is a lot different than I thought it would be" in a pleasant way.

Some tracks though I feel have that dynamic energy to them, Window Seat in particular right now is standing out as my fave from the clips alone. If This Is It sound way different than what I heard early on in those clips on youtube, for the better too. So I still think this will be a really raw album but I'd be lying if some of the clips have me a little on the edge about a few songs as well.

Since Trusty said last clip tomorrow morning, I think we can assume that it's likely tomorrow evening....however he also said he doesn't have details about the stream either so who knows? Is there some sort of schedule on the streaming site? (Sorry I don't have access to it in Turkey or I'd check myself).

Will Someday Change is basically musical notes having sex in my ears.

Allowance: Not Feeling much from the clip, but intrigued where it can go. Least favorite thus far.
Fire in the Hen House: As and avid "The Wolf" supporter, I dunno, but I do like what I hear.
Heavyweight: I will forever love this song.
Window Seat: I dig it alot more compared to the sound check. A very different sound for OLP, and I love that.
As Fast As You Can: N/A
If This Is It: The chorus is alot more loud than I was expecting, but I always liked the potential in this song. Guitar solo, amazing.
Will Someday Change: Dark, Moody, Random Falsetto quirks, Classic OLP with a new creepy ass twist. I dig alot.
Find Our Way: Not the most to hear in the clip, but I'm thinking this one will be pretty good.
Rabbits: Absolutely brilliant, and this is only from the clip.
Mettle: I'm really intrigued with this, and think it'll fit that unique final song that OLP always loves.

I must say, OLP time has flown by this time, it seems like just yesterday, in 2010, that we were hearing rumblings of this album. Now, we're a day away from hearing the whole thing in it's entirety. And I'm completely stoked for this.

I would imagine midnight. Usually big music companies or whatever operate like that when there is a stream. I remember when Janes addiction streamed their cd and it went on at midnight west coast time. Since its CA based though it will probably be in an hour but who knows. I could be wrong. Really hoping it is in an hour though... Whose all recording?
and if i don't make it know that i've loved you all along.

Wow, they have a terrible OLP section. No Clumsy, Happiness, or SM.

You in Canada? If so there might be country restrictions then, which might mean no streaming in the US. Hopefully that's not the case.
