In fact, if they haven't performed that song yet by the time they reach the west coast, maybe in Vancouver or Seattle I'll remind Raine how much Mr. Matt Cooper of Pod Zeppelin would love to hear it!

Ha! Please do!

So is the album dropping at midnight on Music Unlimited? And did we figure out if you have to be a premium member to have access to it or just an account?

Please let me know more details.

Thanks.

I'll definitely wait until I hear the full version to make my final judgement, but based on the snippet, it doesn't really do anything for me.

Allowance has to be one of my favourites, based on the 30 seconds we've heard.

Well, if it's the first single in the U.S., I still think Heavyweight is a better choice to lead the way. As Fas As You Can is very upbeat. Nothing somber about it at all. It's got sort of an old-school beat with hand claps to open it up. I will say this, As Fast As You Can is catchy as hell. I challenge anyone to listen to it a couple of times and not still be singing it hours later.

I LOVE Heavyweight. I love the guitar playing, Raine's vocals kick ass. It's just a hit.

I agree. I think the song is too short. I didn't want it to end.

I was just listening to all the clips together in the order of the tracklisting, you guys should try it out. All the songs seem to have a very natural flow and it sounds really great. There's some rockier stuff at the beginning, becoming more progressive in the middle, and softer and moody near the end. Can't wait to see how As Fast As You Can fits into that. I don't know if Allowance will be the greatest opener they've done, but as a whole the record is really coming into focus. Very nice :)

i quite like the allowance clip, though it doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the clips we've heard.. but thats based on 30 seconds i guess, no doubt it'll make sense when given the whole picture.

it seems the jason lader experiment is a definite success :).

Trying to create an account on Sony's Music Unlimited in Canada for the stream but keep getting the message, "Currently unable to create your account. Please try again later." Has anyone else had this problem?

When you hear the opening of Allowance you'll hear that it starts with sort of an alarm. Almost like a call to attention. It works.

I didn't. But when you get it working, is it streaming at midnight or what?

Yes I should have made that statement with the caveat that it depends on the first 10-15 seconds of the track...but still don't know how it compares to other openers like superman's dead or one man army.

I hope the album begins with this audio.

Not a fan of the clip of Will Someday Change. Lots of ordinary-sounding mellow tracks. Different, maybe, but not exciting.

The guys have been saying that the focus of this album was challenging themselves, making interesting music, interesting chord progressions, and from what I've heard I think they've been successful. This record is intriguing to me, maybe it's not what everyone hoped for, but i can feel greatness here.
