Here's a treat I conjured up for everyone while we wait those final few days before Curve streams:

"Tale from a Grocery List" 2:00 demo, complied from a bunch of unconnected clips.

Enjoy! :D

How the hell could they have cut this? Still my favorite clip :crying: Makes me so freaking sad! Ugh...

I hate being powerless over this kinda stuff. Is there nothing the fan community can do to lobby for a single release of this?

I think the doors said it best "Petition the Lord with prayer... Petition the Lord with prayer... YOU CANNOT PETITION THE LORD WITH PRAYER!"

I would honestly pay the price of curve for a complete mp3 of this.

Confirm/deny? Lol.

Maybe he was talking about the Heavyweight remix and the person who heard it assumed or wasn't paying attention to everything he said. You know how it is in the morning when you're listening to the radio in the car whilst driving to work on autopilot. Someone says something and you don't get the whole thing and are like "Wait, what'd he just say?"
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Tales is a great song

I honestly can't believe some of the songs being cut from this cd lol, they would honestly still be better then the majority of the material done for the previous 3 cds

If anyone wants an MP3, here's a 4:40 version I compiled a while back:

http://www.bringbackthesun.com/files/CM ... 202%29.mp3

It's just one verse and the chorus repeating, but different instrument tracks throughout.

Soooo good. Whats your relation to the band? If you dont how one, where did the clip come from? Really appreciate you sharing it... really hope we get this in a final version. My favorite song by them in years upon years.

I wonder, does anyone know why this wasnt included in the end? I'm just sitting here dumbfounded... I dunno, music talks to different people in different ways, but this is the song I've been wanting the song to write for 10 years. I really hope they don't just throw out a mona lisa here.

No relation to the band -- it is sourced from one of the webcasts they did last year. If I had to guess why it didn't make it in the end, probably just because it doesn't quite fit in with the direction that the album finally developed into. I think the song has a great vibe and would've been an excellent addition to Burn Burn. They held onto this song for a very long time through the recording process though, so I think the band must realize it's a good one.

Wow, see, I don't associate this with bb at all. Hopefully it will eventually see some light and not be another trapeze.

^^ agreed, was just listening to the demo from the live stream. I wonder how much it has changed?

On a slightly different topic, interesting tweet from Jeremy a few minutes ago: @Taggart7 I want to give a shout out to @randycooke for playing on Allowance with me!! #HomieThrowDown #GreatCat #FF #DrumLove
Link: https://twitter.com/#!/Taggart7/status/ ... 7695192064

So seems as if they had a guest drummer on Allowance, first time since Stealing Babies, interesting if true...
For those unfamiliar with him, he is a session drummer from Toronto, lives in California. He as worked in the past with Chantal, Kelly Clarkson and Five for FIghting, among other notables. Cool!

Stealing Babies wasn't the last time there was a guest drummer. Matt Cameron from Pearl Jam/Soundgarden played drums on Right Behind You and Are You Sad because Jer was injured.

Oh ya, forgot about that, Jeremy got mugged and hurt his arm or something, right? Anyways, excited to hear the track, because the end of Stealing Babies had the most interesting percussion they've ever done imo :)

My god, Tales from a grocery list is amazing...how did I miss that stream before?

That is literally the best song I've heard them do since...well, SM at least! I would even say it's as good as anything they've ever done. It's got interesting instrumentation, falsetto, and one of the catchiest (maybe THE catchiest) versus I've ever heard.

I would pay $20 to get a studio copy of that song alone.

Thats exactly what I'm saying... I'm pacing back and forth here dreading the thought of this landing in the our lady peace discard pile. :wall:

Yeah I agree with you guys for sure, the more I listen the more I'm loving this song.

Trusty? Think you can get it out of them one day?
