well then, on a positive note "heavyweight" alone makes curve a better album than both bb and healthy in my eyes.

and i should add that i like the "allowance" 30-second clip a lot too.... i don't understand the hate for "allowance" at all, it's definitely my favourite. "find our way" is the least impressive, and i'm torn about what i feel about "wolf"s changes.

I have to agree, although bb and HIPT have some songs I really enjoy.
and if i don't make it know that i've loved you all along.

Allowance is growing on me as well. looking forward to the whole thing. Find Our Way needs an entire listen to judge. The clip didn't catch my ears, nor did the in studio footage so I'm hoping it picks it up. Wolf's changes so far really aggravate me. Of course, I will reserve judgement of FITTHH until I hear the whole thing. Just thought it was sad because I really liked Wolf. Waiting impatiently for more clips.....like RABBITS!

An argument could be made that musically the band might be better (though many would disagree)

no it can't :) musically they ARE better - the guys are at the top of their game musically - no doubt about that, after listening to the new record a few time I even had to call em up and tell them how SICK their playing on it is...some stuff is just outta hand and on such a different level muscially than anything I have heard from them before.

p.s - new clip tomorrow!!

Trusty just said it today and we already have 3 so I believe this to be a real time statement and not an OLP time one... so I'm going with yes!! :D

It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Kinda hoping its Window Seat. That soundcheck makes it sound like it could be a really interesting song.

Man. I appreciate the clips, but I'd rather have one other complete song released than a bunch of clips. Hearing a few things out of context is a bit frustrating, especially after the last new song we heard from the album was three months ago. It's hard to get excited or into something much when we're dealing exclusively with incomplete clips - I can recall many instances where I was put off by an Amazon/iTunes/whatever clip of something but ended up loving the finished version.

Again, I do appreciate them posting clips, but another song leading up to the album release would've been a better approach (imo).

Also, did anyone document all the recording videos? I'd drop in from time to time, but never caught them all, and it'd be interesting to hear how stuff evolved after hearing the final versions.

Also, what ever happened to "Warnings"? Only asking because I don't see that specific title on the tracklist.

Also, I'll add that I'd bet anything Raine can sing like he could on the older material, but chooses not to knowing it'd take a huge toll on his voice. I can't blame people who don't want to scream and belt for 60 minutes a night, that sort of thing gets painful real quick (I can say so even from having a fraction of the experience he has as a musician) and, above all else, threatens his future as a musician. That's real shit, there.

I'll say that I do agree with those who say Raine's voice was one of the main draws for OLP to me and seemingly to a lot of other people, but then it's both his older style AND his newer style that drew me in. Raine Maida in 2012 still sounds great to me. Listening to "Heavyweight" and the other clips, he still sounds good and there's still something very unique to his voice. No real complaints, here.

Hopefully Warnings makes it out someday too.

Album version of window seat would be great. So far all the clips we've heard have been songs that we were aware of previously. I really hope they don't put up a clip of a unheard song, I want Curve to still have some mystery :)
