if i'm not wrong "Rabbits" should be entirely in falsetto! I remember a Raine's Tweet where he told that....but the song was "Like Rabbits We Run" i don't know if this is the same song! :D

Pretty sure it was Tales from a Grocery List he said was almost entirely falsetto.

You're right! However if i'm not wrong(another time :D) this is "Like Rabbits We Run" http://youtu.be/2Jq2xoGTRAw ...and we can hear falsetto! :) naturally the song can be totally different in the final version!

I don't usually complain Gail. I usually support the band, but when more info comes to light, like Vampires, the song "Where Are You" being changed when the original "Best Day of YOur Life" was better, Trapeze getting cut, etc, it just makes me a little cynical that all good energy or songs will be changed because the band gets bored with it or finds it "doesn't fit the album" which is something I'm not sure I buy into.

ANyway, its just a rant. I will get over it and have been overwhelmingly appreciative of what OLP does, but i admit its like being frustrated with someone because you love them.. Guess I will just eat it and get ready for what is hopefully a kick ass album.

Later release date is no problem for me... I'll honestly probably just see if its been uploaded by somebody on Mediafire so I can listen until its proper release here.

Finding it shouldn't be a problem. Even though they really don't have a fanbase in WV, I saw Burn Burn in every major store, and still see it when I go to FYE in the mall.

You can always download a torrent of it when it first releases, and then just buy it once it's released in your area.

Oh, man I thought I was the only one who wasn't too crazy about the "Don't leave me waiting" part of "The Wolf"s chorus. Too lazy in a mainstream sense.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

I am a big fan of the first version of the chorus we heard:

Don't leave me waiting
The wolf is already at my door
He's run out of patience
I gave him my blood but he wants more
And I don't belong
I don't belong here anymore
There's a wolf outside my door

The second version was simplified (removed references to the wolf and blood lines and replaced them with repeating lines) and was not as strong, but the overall sound was still nice.

Now how knows, maybe some of it still remains, we don't know. If it's gone though, then I think it will weaken the song substantially.

Yeah, I really liked these lyrics and Raine's delivery during some of the demos was outstanding and passionate. RIP.

Didn't we hear clips from at least 4 different versions of the chorus? I thought the earliest we heard went:

"when you find you're waiting
and I am there
I wait but there's no escaping
I will be the [...]"

I think what made it great was that it was passionate, and not flat at all. That's something that's been missing for a while. Hopefully even if that's gone from this song it remains in the others.

Really dig Jer's drumming in the Find Our Way sample, I remember hearing it in the YouTube videos. Chorus seems like something that'd get stuck in my head.

Plus I really like the unexpected switchup at the end of it.

Hi there,

First time posting after following these boards for a long while (could never log in or receive activation emails under the old style, but the site's reformatting seems to work now!)

Really excited about this album, and I really, really, really hope I'll be able to see them when they come to the UK (Raine answered my tweet saying they would, so fingers crossed!)

Hope we get to hear Tales from a Grocery List, it's still written on the paper that changes on the OLP.com site banner (although The Wolf is too)

Does anyone know any more about the deluxe version they'll do? Being in the UK, I'll almost certainly have to import it, so was just curious about how much longer I should wait.

Also, I wonder if it'll appear on Spotify... Heavyweight did - anyone know how the band feel about that service?

Sorry about lots of random thoughts posting, but first time posting, had a lot of thoughts.

Hi :)

Loved this guitar groove in the youtube clip, love it even more on the one posted today. I'm starting to feel very optimistic! :)

Personally I like the direction of the new lyrics which sound to me like "must accelerate / mustn't hesitate / must recalculate" and I think Raine's delivery is appropriate for the lyrics, I don't think it's lacking passion. Sure he's not belting it out like the early versions, and if that's the main thing you wanted I can see why you're disappointed. Who knows maybe he does that somewhere else in the song, but for me this is good.

Shit Find Our Way it's really good! I really like the "explosion" of the song after the chorus with drum and guitar...it makes me chill!! And i go crazy!! My unique concern about the album are the drums! In Heavyweight they are almost the same for the whole song but with this new clip i have got less concerns! :D....oh and Trusty a question is there the possibility to see(hear) another clip before the next week? :D

I'll be honest, "Find a Way" was not anywhere close to being one of my favorites from youtube clips, but this clip of the final version sounds absolutely fantastic. Great instrumentation and production, I think it's really taken that song to a 'Hole 'Nother Level.

i agree fully, but see how you've left out great vocals? i think raine's vocals are very burn burn-esque and without life in these 2 recent clips we've heard. it's disappointing, especially with what we got in "heavyweight".

I have a feeling Jason Lader wouldn't let Raine get away with shitty, boring, and uninspired vocals over the stretch of every song.
