The club they are playing in buffalo is probably the worst venue i have ever been to... kind of a strange place for OLP to play too, since i've seen mostly hardcore and electronic/dubstep type acts play there before. It's a shit hole and the staff/security are the most rude people I've seen at a venue. They threw everyone out of a Bayside show halfway through because a girl stage dived. Bullshit staff. Also, I'VE played there, proving it is a very small place, not that that's bad, just surprising I can say i played on a stage OLP played on :D

I like small venues with bands; there is just something about it.
When I was selling merch a few years ago, I did a tour with a band called The Butterfly Effect (australian band) and they played smaller venues. Now this is a full blow out rock band; they like to climb the rafters in this band and put the sound up HIGH. The small venues with incredibly enthusiastic punters made for some memorable nights - the feeling seemed so much more electric in the smaller venues.

It also meant I sold a lot more merch cos the shows were kinda "exclusive". so that was a bonus! HAHA!

I'm excited!

That's interesting... I saw Matt Good at Club Infinity and it was very different from what you just described.
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

I know Raine / Chantel did a show there a few years back when Raine was on his solo album tour.

They played there many years back during the SM tour to a packed house.

I'm pretty sure I'll buy the tix, worst case scenario I don't think I'll have a problem offloading them if needed.

Speaking of Matt . I'm seeing him at Mercury Lounge in a few weeks. SHould be fun.

Has anyone notice that NYC is only East Coast USA date. I really do not consider Buffalo East Coast. Which means it might sell out faster then normal..

Phoenix is cool. I saw The Casby's there ears ago.

Club Infinity is bigger than the place we saw Ours at and not as nice but it's a decent rock venue. Nice and intimate. No complaints!

The Phoenix and Bowery in NYC are also places I've also ones I've been too. Love the smaller venues!

myownsatellite wrote:I don't know Club Infinity but if it's anything like the one Ours played in during their 2007 tour it's going to be a great show.
