really not digging the cover, but that's an interesting point about burn burn's cover flynn... haha.
trustworthy -- ultimately the cover doesn't mean anything to us loyal fans because we're going to buy the album anyway and judge it on its music, not the cover. but when you're trying to sell an album, the first thing people see is the cover, and if that turns 'em off or doesn't look appealing/creative enough, there's less chance they'll buy it!! the cover will forever be the image of this album.
maybe you should talk to the guys about it. if jason lader can make them change their entire musical direction, why can't loyal fans help them with their cover?

not to sound like an ass but I think everyone is well aware of what a cover is and does
As for a cover dictating sales, not even gonna touch that with a 20 ft pole...there are hundreds of examples that simply prove that logic to be wrong.
Anyway, I have already sent a note around letting everyone know that some people aren't digging it...but then again there has been some great feedback from people that are loving it. So yeah, it's very subjective - not everyone is not going to like everything.

I'm not much a "fan" of this cover. Personally I don't really care but I would assume there's going to be a certain number of people who used to like OLP but haven't really followed them for a few years might see it, assume the band's finally completely jumped the shark, and go on with their lives without giving the music a chance to speak for itself. OR they'll think OLP expects this music to knock their socks off and buy a copy based on the cover.

yeah there has been some discussion about the site recently...might do a whole new one or might do a hybrid using current with some new stuff...busy times right now and lots to do before that.
As release gets closer you will hear some new clips - as for back story and discussing actual songs - well we got something cool for that!! actually working on the first one today

If it is just 9 songs, I hope that means we're in a Kid A/Amnesiac situation and not that they've discarded a lot of songs that we all thought sounded promising!

That's George Chuvalo? Must be before he got disfigured.
Something about it makes it feel too dull for an album cover. Mainly that smooth blue tint. And the lack of color. It's more like a single's art, which in this case "Heavyweight" feels more like an album cover than a single cover.
If you go to ourladypeace.com and wait for the background to change to GC, THAT looks 70% better. The greener colors that is.
And the font bleeds too much into the background. Too white when the the background it's on is already white. The "Curve"'s font also kinda of sucks. The Urban Grind font might work even better for it.
I still don't intend on bashing it, I just think it could be so much more with the talented folks working on it.

I lol'd a bit... right now all you see is a cover, soon you will see more art and know the story behind it.
Sheesh, you monkey people always so quick to jump on everything
I'm just playing Ol' Trusty. I don't mind it. I mind how could the material is behind it. Just like a hot chick wearing baggy clothes. And then she takes them off and it's revealed to be a guy, and you throw up a bit. Wait, where was I going with this?
