This album could potentially be the equivalent to Foo Fighters' Wasting Light. Before it came out last April, the Foos hadn't released an album fans were satisfied with since 1999's There Is Nothing Left to Lose.

Anybody see this tweet? they say they have a sneak peek at the cover. https://twitter.com/#!/search/our%20lad ... ce%20curve

if thats the cover art im not a huge fan, i really like the font they were using for olp that wasn't so straight forward. And also I loved the idea of what Raine was saying about the old beatin up boxer sitting his corner.

I'm not a fan. I don't mean to bash it, but its not very creative. One of the best things about Burn Burn was the creativity to all of the art. And the "boxer" is smirking at the camera like he' s trying to be tough but wants to laugh.

Looks like a Smith's album. Not a fan with OLP though. Really just silly looking in my opinion, to be honest.

Its not bad... not really great either.

With that said, I could really care less about the cover as long as the music is on point.

I'm with MOL about the cover not being important... but it seems like Burn Burn's cover would fit better with what Curve has been sounding like...

Didn't they say a few weeks ago that they were "playing around" with the idea of a boxer on the cover, but then they changed their mind? I think Raine said that in an interview. So maybe this was just an early version.

One of the worst album covers I have ever seen....

I mean if you didn't know the band, or the boxer, you would be extremely confused on wtf is going on here. Is it a Ricky Martin cd? They could have at least put a picture of him up boxing or something. This is just wierd

Remember how excited and positive we were about Heavyweight? And it got excellent reception in the public as well. Maybe it is a good idea to relook at the cover given the response here, before it's released. I think it's fine to have Chuvalo on the cover, but this is the worst angle you could have done, really. You have to strain to even realize that he has a boxing glove on, and having him this front-and-center on the cover without him having ever been on a cover before makes it seem like he's in the band or something. Having him off in the corner would've been excellent.

We might, but the general public won't. All they will see is this cover.

New article from just a few minutes ago:

http://www.torontosun.com/2012/02/06/ou ... s-the-road

“Other tracks on the disc include If This is It, As Fast as You Can, Window Seat, Find Our Way Home, Mettle, Rabbits, Allowance and Fire in the Henhouse.

Looks like they've renamed "The Wolf" to Fire in the Henhouse, and I don't think we've heard of "Mettle" before.

I'm usually pretty positive about the band and stuff they put out but I really don't like the album cover. I mean I got excited when Raine was explaining the cover in that interview saying it was some old boxers face all beaten and battered that sounded pretty cool, this is just odd. But Burn burn had an amazing cover and the actual music wasn't their best, maybe this will be the opposite lol.

well, I don't think anyone's gonna think GC is in the band ;)

It's an album cover, one that took a ton of concepts and ideas and different directions to finally get to this point, and more importantly it is an album cover OLP likes - and well that seems to be the most important thing with every aspect of this record.

Everything you see was chosen by the band and regardless of personal preference or opinion, everything has a purpose and a reason behind it :)

Fyi - most of the time when I say "you" I mean the general public.
