Yeah, that's what i heard too, but it's been a long time without any news...I thought there would have been at least SOME promotion for new material by this point. You're right about the mythical "Raine Maida Timeline" though.

Yes finally! I'm with you, I hope it's a new song and not a christmas one... I seem to recall the band did a christmas song a few years ago on the strombo show or something. It was good, and I'm sure Raine could do a good one, but it's not really what i'm looking forward to. I'd like to hear Science and Technology or This is Gonna Hurt.

I really doubt it'll be a Christmas song. My guess is SOS.

Not to be a complainer... but I was under the impression that we were getting a free mixtape, not a Christmas song..

I think Raine's said a lot of different things while trying to figure out how to release his solo stuff without interfering with OLP, and the plans keep changing. Could still be a mixtape coming in the next few months?

I'm actually really digging this. First we get FtgF with OLP and now this from Raine. 2 new songs that aren't gonna be on a record. It's like bonus music.

I was also under the impression that it was a mixtape or least one track...but you're right Josh, Raine has been trying to figure out how to put this stuff out without interfering or being confused with OLP. Still, it's a good christmas track, it fits very nicely into my playlist tongiht :)

Guys... he said it was going to be festive!
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Also, I never thought I'd see an official recording of a Christmas song by anyone in OLP. And after being abused by Christmas music all month, I'm really liking this song.

Two free songs. FTW! I'm loving this too!! Raine's voice on an Xmas song makes overloads of xmas music more tolerable. As for the back up vocals.... Is that Chantal or his voice over his voic like in BMWAG? They're higher but so faint I can't tell.
