I have a feeling things are gonna start coming soon. They're gonna wanna generate as much interest as possible with this new single. HW sounds awesome (radio friendly as well) so I can see it getting a lot of airtime.

Hey everyone! I'm a long time CMer, but I don't often add to the conversation because you guys do a good job of covering all the olp news.
However, I was doing some searching and I found something kinda interesting which I don't think has been mentioned yet. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Heavyweight/dp/B0 ... rackPlayer

1. Features a slightly different clip than the one on olp.com. Basically it's just the chorus, but continues a bit from where it cuts off on the the other clip.
2. Features a track time of 4:15
3. Features a release date of Jan 3, 2012

I was super excited waiting for the single release in 4 days (!) but amazon says it will be released later than that. Can trusty or someone else maybe give a bit of information about this? Will it still be on iTunes on the 20th?

Also, on a personal note, I'm living in Turkey now, being away from Canada has been hard, so it's nice to be able to come to the forum and see what people are talking about on the other side of the world regarding OLP. I'm definitely super excited for this new record! So, thanks everybody, and as I'm going to start posting more regularly, Hi!!

Good find.

I think it will probably be exclusive to iTunes for the first two weeks, then it will be available on Amazon (and maybe other online music stores). It could be a mistake -- or they could have delayed it altogether for two weeks -- but that's how it worked when Raine released "Bury Me With A Gun."

January 3, 2012? Since we're getting Heavyweight on the 20th, do you think this is the release date for the album?? That would be amazing.

It's just the date that Heavyweight will be added to the Amazon mp3 store. The band's still recording this week, they won't rush the final mixing, mastering, and polishing to get the full album out that soon.

I think they're all heading back home on the 20th? If I read a tweet right, anyway.

I thought they were going to be there a week and they didn't leave Toronto until Wednesday night but I could be and probably am wrong.

and I'm gonna go with B also! :D

It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Hmm, I'm not seeing the major different between the two at all. Either one works, for me.

B

I think they like it better as well - they seem more comfortable and seem to enjoy playing B more...
