Was the bickering about the change in the band? Or just people picking fights for the sake of fighting

Well, pretty much both i believe.

And didn't Duncan sing Made Of Steel back at a show in 2002 but no one has a recording of it? I've heard of this a couple of times..

Im pretty sure Duncan sang Surrender by Cheap Trick in 2002....I think it was Steve's first or second show....Dayton,OH rings a bell....i will check the CM Tour archive

I liked Moth too. I thought they said it was a demo from one of the writing sessions at the very beginning. Even if it doesn't make the album, maybe it'll be a bonus track or something.

I'd also like to point out that Heavyweight is longer than any song on Burn Burn except Monkey Brains.

I hope the other songs stay in a longer time frame. Longer songs are a win in my book.

I agree, longer songs are nice. Nothing worse than really getting into a song and then it ends at the 3-minute mark. Not saying all songs need to be 6-8 minutes (though I like 1 or 2 epics per album from some musicians like matthew good), the extra length allows for cool solos, different structures, or awesome intros or outros.

Yeah, Burn Burn was aggravatingly short. We need to break 40 minutes this time.

Maybe it's from the new music we've been hearing, but I just started playing "Waiting for Something to Happen."

Uh, it's not very good in retrospect. It's mainly just that song. I know it's not really officially part of Burn Burn, but it really shows the difference between 3 years ago and now. I've never really noticed, but Raine's vocals are waayy too smooth in WfStH.

Not familiar with that one.. Is it basically more burn burn quality/style? Do you mean too smooth like paper moon?

Smooth as in his voice is just overly polished. Paper Moon had a lot more character to his voice than this.

I agree, raw voice with little "smoothing" is nice. See birdman or something like that. Could just be a factor of age too, though, and he's trying to control his voice more than he used to.

Gotta agree with DG about Time Bomb (Waiting for Something to Happen). Put the studio recording on for the first time in awhile the other day and had to change it after the first 40 seconds. I loved the live version and thought the studio version was decent, but now I don't really feel the studio version at all.

Anyway, some of the early, what I assume were pre-Lader songs (when we were only getting a clip or two a month, before the massive updates lol) that I'd still like hear something from:

And I'm still pushing for this one lol:
