without burn burn there would be no olp#8 - burn burn was a record that needed to be made - was deff a transsitional record and phase for the guys - but i can assure you it did the job that it was meant to do, not every record is created to simply please fans or sell - what you hear on these records is a direct reflection of where the band is at a given time... and considering what happened between healthy and burn burn it becomes very apparent that it would no doubt be a different record for olp....that was just them doing what they do and i think a b ig part of it was them just finding themselves after 15 years of being part of the machine you know what i mean?

That being said all I can tell you is that this new record is simply fucking awesome....well that's my opinion at least but i havent had stupid grins on my face like this since I heard the big green monkey or if you believe or happines and the fish or paper moon or big dumb rocket or naveed or picture...or...well i dunno there are a few.

fyi - im listing to heavyweight right now - i just love the bridge! you guys heard that part right? oh wait nevermind heeheh

I get all that. I get that BB was this great thing. It fixed a band that thought they had spent all their creative juices, reminded them of what they could do, and get them moving again... all of which would eventually get them to (it's building up to be) one of their best albums. And, if thats true, i will appreciate BB even more for giving me my favorite band back.

But, to me, burn burn is a huge let down. It fixed the band, but the band needed to be fixed for me after HIPT. I'm excited about this band again, as OLP really speaks to me, but Burn Burn does not.

Anyhow, I can already say without a doubt that this album is going to blow away both HIPT and BB...

Honestly, I may be jumping the gun, but I like just the few songs we heard so much, expect this record to atleast tie with Gravity, if not a little more, on my list. Right now, anyway.

I'm feeling the same as you guys. From the clip of Heavyweight alone, which I am confident will be the best single since Right Behind You, I'm sure that Gravity AND Naveed will be facing some stiff competition on my list!

What happens if the CD comes out and songs have been changed around since what we've got to hear and we all feel let down.

What does your future with OLP look like? What will you do?!?
and if i don't make it know that i've loved you all along.

I know me neither, if the full song doesn't come out soon I'm going to ruin this part of the song by overplaying the clip

Yep, me too. I have it my car stereo, and I played it for a friend who knows I've been following OLP for a long time and wasn't happy with their last album. When he heard it he said "wow, that sounds like their old stuff, huh?", and I said yep, this looks like it's gonna be a great album.
