Raine's tweet officially has me quite excited.

Upbeat fuzz doesn't sound like Warnings though... So maybe I made a conclusion too fast.

Yeah... i'm in a place where I really need an olp album I can stick in my player and not take out for a few weeks. I keep thinking that if i believe hard enough, this album will blow away the last 3.

Spiritual machines is my favorite, with my next favorite working back chronologically. Then Gravity, HIPT, and finally Burn Burn... so as you can see, the band's music and I have been growing in separate directions since they decided to change their sound.

Raines voice just isn't quite what it used to be, but I think that he's still got the old goose bumper, if he'd be willing to let himself break out of his mainstream mind-frame. If this album could bump gravity to my 6th favorite album, I will be the happiest kid on christmas (and hey, I really like gravity, but it started the bands decline from my flavor for me). [/i]

I have high hopes, but I couldn't begin to expect to place it anywhere near Clumsy through Gravity.

What do you think it is that makes you doubt that? This seems to be the general feeling of many OLP fans. Its kinda depressing, but I feel the same way. I don't know if its age, or what...

I just dig those records so much that I really don't see anything topping them, even by the band that made them.

I'm not saying it's not gonna happen.

Maybe, even, it's just that I subconsciously don't want the "new guy", so to speak, to be better than the badass "veteran" that's been around for years and still being awesome. Nostalgia is holding me back, dammit. Haha.

But I truly WANT this to be their best work yet.

I would be satisfied if the album is compared favourably to any of their previous Lanni produced albums and including Gravity. I expect it to be better then their previous 2 and will be disappointed if it is that quality. Though I do appreciate those albums on a certain level.

I liked what I heard from "Wolf" and think some of the other songs have potential. I'm trying to go in with an open mind.

Wish they would give us a concrete release date and the album track titles. I always get a little obsessed around this time before the album is released.
