I think it sounds really nice. The only thing I would change is maybe the beginning of the chorus. I think Raine either needs to pull it back (when he says slOOOwly weekening), or go full out yell. It sounds odd the way it is (and out of key).

I agree with you the part "slOOOwly weekening" need to be revisited...but the song it's amazing!!

There is a chat, that's what the ""click to chat" button is for on .net ;)

As for being short, what can i say - they cut when they want to cut ya know? I can tell you having the camera around does affect things and doing this streaming definitely affects things - as you saw the other day ;)

Other than that the plan was to make these 20-25 mins and I pushed and the guys agreed to do some that are longer, so I would be pretty stoked to get anything longer than 20 mins ya know?

but yeah hope you guys dug it, im trying to get something happening for the next one - but they are finishing up some songs and timing is of the essence right now - so this takes a back seat to making the record - and a lot of that is not very interesting to watch so its tough tying to make it interesting while not interfering in the process or affecting moments and vibes

I`m perfectly fine with this taking a backseat (which it should) as this record is getting finished. I`m really appreciative of this, even getting to see 20 minutes is amazing and more than I could ask for

Oops I forgot about the chat. I didn't record that one since I didn't have the right link... so it's the 2nd - 4th I have, and would like copies of anyone else's recordings.

Yes, the vocals were pretty stellar also!! Falsetto
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

I don't mind the "slOOOwly" part.

I really like the song.

The guitar solo is the best we've gotten in a few records, I would dare to say.

Again, wonderful to hear some falsetto.

2 things of note:

1) This song is well over 4 minutes. Niiice.
2) I love the echo effect on Raine's voice in the video. But I wonder if that's just part of the demo process to make it sound better for now. I hope it stays in, I think it really adds to the song.

Trusty, tell them not to overproduce! Leave some flaws in!

Yeah, really digging the sound of this song. I agree with Riley, the echo on Raine's voice sounds raw. I dig. Hoping the softer songs are sounding like This Is It and Like Rabbits We Run (assuming that's the one from the first vids that says "See a light in the distance").

Just hope there isn't too many soft songs, like Burn Burn.. Although these soft songs are sounding better than the ones on Burn Burn. Album needs songs like The Wolf, and some mid-tempo rockers!

I also like how it sounds deeper, more complicated. Burn Burn was great live, but it seemed simple for a CD. I know part of that was their vision for it. But I'm happy that their vision for this record is to experiment with different and deeper sounds.

Actually, I changed my mind. I love the "slOOOwly" part. It's damn raw.

I respect Burn Burn in it's own right, but it's still a weaker album.

I'm liking the way this one is shaping up much, much better already.

I would love to say one of my favorite songs comes off this new record, but we'll see.

Loving the guitar on the bridge. It's all crooked and then just takes off. Digging the vocal effect as well.

So far I think they are heading in the right direction - people here have some high standards and it would seem most are really loving what they hear so far. I'm getting anxious now, they can't finish this soon enough!
