Most of us weren't skeptical of his ability, it's just that a lot of us felt like he wasn't using it. Glad to see he's back to it though. If he's even using it in his solo, looking forward to OLP's upcoming album too!

Also, I've Googled "Raine Maida Bury Me With a Gun," and it seems some website are under the impression that it's the album's title, and that the album drops the 24th.

People are dumb and don't know how to do there homework. Though I can see how they initially get that. Maybe add an 'album coming soon' or 'song available august 24'

Taylor Swift's "Mine" single was released today and 2 weeks early due to being leaked. I think WE (special Clumsy Monkey People) should get Raine Maida's new single 2 weeks early. That's only fair.

Lemme guess, her song's about coming over obstacles and having a fairytale ending with a guy? it is isnt it? lol. sing. a. new. song.

ANYWAY, yes i agree, get this song out there. Hell lets raid his house of the rest of the album and OLP B-sides and release those too. just a thought. WHOS WITH ME??

The thing about OLP B-Sides is they all got drunk one night and threw them out on the lawn while the sprinklers were going and rolled around in them. They don't quite know where they went from there.

True Story.

I don't know who said it didn't sound like him, but I don't know how it doesn't sound exactly like Raine. He's got that very distinctive nasally voice.

People can think what they want, in terms of album titles release dates etc - there is no firm date for the full album release as of right now anyways...that (and a shitton of other things) is still being decided

This entire project is going to be a combination/collaboration of music, art and concepts... the best part is you people and other fans will get to see the entire thing develop right in front of your eyes.

And that is all I can say :P

I've listened to the clip like 50 times.

It took me a while to pin point, but the chorus reminds me of the chorus to Blur's - Coffee and Tv.

Good to hear Falsettos again, I think he should have to wear a shock collar at all times during recordings, and if a song fails to have some falsetto, he gets shocked violently lol.

Listening to OLP songs without using the uniqueness of Raines voice, is like Joe Satriani not doing guitar solos, it just isn't the same lol

Some say it might be available on the hub :O.

Alternately, if you use Firefox, use any of the available download helper plug-ins to grab the .flv file from the page, then use FLV Extract to get the mp3 out of it.

Hey guys,

if the songs Raine did at JT are any indication of the new solo cd, we are in for a treat.

he did 2 new songs.
S.O.S - a rocking number that could of been an OLP song..yes it is that good and rocking.

Not Done Yet-He said this song was about fatherhood and how the kids make you almost young again. You see things in a different light.

he sounds very much like Thom Yorke on Fake Plastic Trees.

He told us he will try to get out all of Bury With A Gun soon.

Other stuff you might be interested in. he did a very stripped down versin of 4AM It was just him and an accoustic guitar. I got chills from it.

he also played CLUMSY during Chantal's Set ./ A sort of encore with her.. They also did a really beautiful version of Bring Back The Sun. Last night Chantal was telling a story of how she played that song one time her whole tour. She made a comment about playing it now to piss him off.. Tonight she told the story about playing it on that particular tour. Raine came out and sang it with her. They both took turns singing lead..

Here is what he did both nights.
S.o.S
Careful
SLH
Earthless
Not Done Yet
Yellow Brick road
Innocent-which the kids came and sang chorus with.
Snake/Crowne
4AM

Here are some of the lyrics from Not Done Yet -I am sure Tom or Bree got song so can help out with rest..

"Cold outside
waiting for spring to break
all my wrongs and all my rights
I've made peace with my mistakes
I, I ... I'm not done yet

on the wheels of strength I have to give
love inside -alright make me want to live
I, I, I not done yet

the repeats first again

These are what I could write down while he was singing. Not complete or 100% accurate but the beginning seems to be the main choruse. He said he was still in process of writing song..
He said we will love it. It is really good and not like thelast cd. Can't wait.
and yes for all of you wanting the falsettos etc. they are back.
S.O.S has an almost backing vvocal over the lead. Sounds amazing. Both songs were really good. All I can say is between the stuff Raine wrote for Burn Burn and this new solo stuff.

I have a video of S.O.S. and it's currently being loaded into YouTube. Tom got 'Not Done Yet'. I also have an adorable video or Rowan and Lucca singing Innocent with Raine.
