No Doubt isn't reuniting because they never broke up... they went on hiatus because Gwen wanted to do her pop record, which turned into two, but they never broke up. I saw them twice last year and they were pretty great, although I don't usually listen to No Doubt they put on a good show and Gwen's a great singer.m2 wrote:Looks like the whole Rossdale family's getting back into it with this and the No Doubt reunion! Super excited for both!!
Saw Gavin last year too and he puts on an awesome show as well. Really happy about the Bush reunion since I'm mainly a fan of the Bush material rather than his newer Institute and solo work (although I was impressed how hearing it all in one concert still seemed fairly cohesive). But too bad there's not more original members!

Just making sure!
I saw Gwen touring for The Sweet Escape in 2007 as well, that was fun too. Tickets were way expensive though (glad I wasn't paying). No Doubt tickets are really expensive too.

Gavin wanted Institute to be a BUSH record. He has sad that over and over.. Not sure if Wunderlust was for BUSH songs or not.
Besides OLP and U2 I am a huge Gavin/Bush fan.. He does put on a great show. More then just a pretty face. I can not wait to tour.
In that webcast he said Dave and Nigel were not available or did not want to do it. He said he did not want people to get mad. That he tried everything to get the original four back..
I hate to say this but the day Nigel and Gavin play together again is the day Mike and Raine do.

From what I've read Nigel left the band because he wanted to spend time with his family, and not go touring. I never heard any other explanations that suggest any negativity between them, but I never followed them too closely. Wanderlust was meant to be a Bush record but Nigel backed out of reuniting and it turned into a solo record.
I just find it a little surprising that with only 1 of 3 other members returning Gavin's calling his band Bush again. I wonder if their live show will be centered around Bush songs without much Institute / solo Gavin tracks (if so I see how the name is justified) or if it will still be an assortment.
Either way they will put on a great show I am sure!

From everything I read and heard. It will be BUSH old and new songs. Plus a few Institute songs. He even joked about hoping Robin knows them.
Gavin has played a bunch of BUSH songs at his shows. It is 1/3 of the shows..
If you got original members then yes it is only 2 out of 4.
Chris was part of BUSH for Golden State so he knows alot of songs..
I heard a few things from people who knew Nigel back then. That is why I made that comment. Still can not wait. Be nice to see some of those songs done again.. Though Gavin has steadily done
Machinehead
Everything Zen
Glycerine
He also has done Swallowed, Come Down, Chemical Between Us,

The Gavin show I went to they played:
Bush:
The Chemicals Between Us
Comedown
Everything Zen
Fugitive
Glycerine
Machinehead
The People That We Love
Institute:
Boombox
Bullet Proof Skin
When Animals Attack
Solo:
Adrenaline
Forever May You Run
Frontline
Love Remains the Same
This Is Happiness
The Trouble I'm In
Cover:
Landslide
I just hope they really limit the Institute/Gavin solo tracks because it might be a little disappointing to go to a Bush reunion show and not see more old Bush songs than the shows that were billed as Gavin Rossdale.

I do not remember what he sang. I saw so many shows since Bush stopped touring..
From what he said it is a BUSH show, but some of those songs. I say maybe 2-3 songs from those two projects. This is BUSH... I want to see Cold Contagious, Greedy Fly, Sleeping Cables again.
