To admit my bias, I've never had much love for OLP.
To me, OLP never really stood out all that strongly among the flock of boring, overly earnest, radio-friendly post-grunge bands that emerged in the '90s.
The one factor that made them remotely unusual was Maida's odd howl which, to my ears, has to be one of the most grating sounds in modern rock.
At least the people in the comments section let their opinion be known about how ridiculous and biased it was to get this guy to write the review.

Why would you send some one who knowingly dislikes the band to review their concert. What is this world coming to??!
Sincerely, C.H.

it really was. the guy's consensus on the show was that it was pretty decent, which should have been the main point. his own personal opinions about the band are unrelated, but he used the space for the interview as an excuse to whine anyway
I really didn't mind the review. Critics are hired to have an opinion and while I don't agree with his, he's entitled to it.
What I do have a problem with is him saying "OLP never really stood out all that strongly among the...post-grunge bands that emerged in the '90s" and then a few sentences later saying "Are their peak years behind the band? It's too early in the game to tell".
So it's too early in the game to tell if the band that has been around for 15+ years is past their peak when the majority of their peers from the mid-90's that they "never really stood out from" are no longer together?

She really does!

bwhahaha thats pretty funny (the boobs!)
what posses people, i mean women, to do that? i have never understood it....
anyhoo... i think i prefer Trusty's review over the other one (HAH!) but agree with locobone that there isn't technically anything wrong with it - i also think it was good the fact he admited his bias, a lot of critics wont do that. I just dont think his heart was in the review either, his style of writing is terrible, and non-constructive.
