Soundgarden reuniting?!?

Post by MattCTUSA »

Is just crazy...I am not sure whether to be happy or not. Cornell must be broke after making 2 crappy albums!

I had heard rumors awhile back, since they had an unofficial "reunion" of sorts on stage at a Pearl Jam show, but I hope they do get back together. I'd love to hear some new music.

Besides, anything has to be better than Chris Cornell's "Scream."

Crappy albuns? As far as I'm concerned, Euphoria Morning (or something like that) is a pretty decente album.

And it would be awsome to see Soundgarden live again, with Matt Cameron on drums. Cause that's where he sounds good. I'm already used to him on Pearl Jam, but damn, he can totally ruin some of PJ's best songs...

However, Carry On and Scream are generally though of as crappy.

Euphoria Morning was an excellent album...Carry On and Scream, not so much. They did make for good frisbees though :P

Haven't heard Cornell's second two "crappy" albums so I can't comment, but his work with Audioslave was amazing and I'm SO happy that Soundgarden are back!

Cornell sucks. Soundgarden sucks more. I wish he'd choke on a cow dick and disappear...

I love his voice.

Seriously, the man has talent. I also haven't heard his new stuff, but I do enjoy his voice from old stuff.

And he does that super cool throat singing thing! Not many people can do that!

I always thought his live performance was lacking. I think he's fantastic in the studio, but when I see some of his performances with Audioslave, and sometimes his solo performances, it's like he's trying too hard.

They played a recent surprise show in Seattle at the Showbox under the name Nudedragons. A buddy of mine went and said they were f'n awesome.
There is a recording of it here:

When I saw Audioslave they were all incredible. Didn't seem like he missed a note or was straining or anything. Then again, I saw just Chris Cornell solo after that and while it was still good with a bunch of nobodies, it wasn't quite as awesome.

I wanted to see them live so bad. I hate that they didn't get to tour Revelations. Luckily I got to see Tom Morello play with Street Sweeper, and it was amazing. Still, I wish I could have seen Audioslave once for myself.
