that's all i can say about that - get your ass to the shows and dont forget your bankcards/credit cards/cash/cheque books/first born etc

they had tour dates shirts on the 2000 WORLD's A BLISTER tour. Unfortunately have no idea where my shirt is :(

I still say any one going to 4 or more shows should get a discount. :P

Your kidding right? I mean didn't you over react to RileyLewis's comment in the Vancouver thread for saying pretty much the exact same thing..

Trustworthy wrote:tour books will be for sale at the merch table

Is it just me or does anyone else that bought VIP tickets feel like those *exclusive tour books, should have only been available to the VIP purchasers?

What about the posters and laminates - are only given to the VIP holders? Or will they be sold on the tables as well?

MIKE. now you are the one overreacting. The books, posters, etc are all part ofther package. Youa re guarantteed good seats, the book etc. The book is probably going to be a big selller. OLP has never had a tour book at any of their shows( at least as long as I have been seeing them live). Why should people who bought VIP tickets be the nly ones to get it. There are alot of longtime, die hard fans coming out for these shows. The laminates are probably for VIP only. I can not see why the posters and books would not be for sale to other fans.

As fore my comment. I asked TW before( jokingly) if we go to multiple shows do we get a discount on the book. This was between him and I.. Has nothing to do with who is going where or how much money spent. There are a bunch of people going to multiple shows. I am sure ONTARIO is going to be a blast for OLP cause that is where the bulk of fans will be traveling too. Esp Toronto..

As for my commnent on Riley that is something I made to him.. SOmething him and I are past and has nothing to do with Merch..

that is just vulgar to put on here. Seriously dude.. even in joking.. I look at VIP like this. YOu pretty much are paying for it in one shot, but it is guranteed you will be in first 5 rows, Guranteed you get to meet theband, guranteed you get the book and poster..

Why would you be upset? You should all be thankful you are GURANTEED this.

The book for VIPs could have a special inset or something - signed and numbered - you never know.

Everyone should just be super excited the tour starts in a few weeks. From the hints TW, and the band has tossed out there I think we are all in for a goodtime. I am excited to see some of the older songs possibly make a debut/or comeback to the live set. I think this just might be one of the best OLP live shows ever..

Well, considering most people who went for it bought VIP tickets in pairs or to two shows, I figured a lot of these would show up on eBay for a few bucks each anyway... don't see what there is to complain about.

There are fans (like me) who had no interest in the VIP tickets but maybe would be interested in the book. Anyone who bought the VIP tickets just for a book is a fool.

I have to agree with Gail, part of the VIP deal is the guarantee the comes with each item.

Depends on how much the book and whatnot costs. Let's say I bought regular tickets, and bought the book and other items at the venue... If it came out to about the same cost, then the VIP was worth it for the guarentee. However, if it would have been cheaper to do it this way, then the VIP ticket-buyers would be getting ripped off. I know some will say that it includes meeting the band, but how many people here have met the band for free?

*facepalm*

VIP = premium seat - meet and greet - posters - lammy - tourbook - photo with the band.

as for the book being available for purchase at the merch table - the book is something that was made for the fans - and it would be unfair to only offer it to those who bought VIP - the vip already comes with things that regular ticket holders cant get - but the book is for ALL of the fans :)

MOL-believe it or not-NOT EVERYONE HAS MET THE BAND..

there are alot of people who do not post on OLP boards who have never met theband, or seen them live.

As TW said the book is for the FANS.. I think this just might be the tour for the fans also. Lord knows alot of us have asked for certain songs, items for years either in person or online somewhere.

Why can't people just be happy with it all. Enjoy what you are going to experience.

Plus if you really feel people can met the band for free then do not buy the VIP's. It is never guranteed anyone in any band will stop and chat, take a photo or sign something. Yes OLP are one of the few bands who really are fan oriented, but so many others aren't

As TW said you get so much for the $200.

that being said only about 2 more weeks till the first *offical* show.  :duncan:

I realize not every fan has met the band (myself included), but I'm saying a lot of people have by just chilling outside the venue.

I never met them or seen them live. The only way I could ever get a hold of that tour book is if they sold it at Barnes & Noble. As If!

Hmm.. I'm trying to think what it would be like if they had kept the As If name... I think it sounds kinda corny actually... but then again Our Lady Peace makes them sound like a Christian rock band

Yeah, As If sounds like a cheesy 90's saying. Thank god they didn't keep it.

This is true, my mother in law thought it was a Christian rock band for a while... "Oh, Mikes going to another one of those Our Lady of Peace concerts again??"

Ugh, I get so annoyed when people toss in the "of" as a part of the name.
