I saw GnR in Moncton a few weeks ago and I'm still wondering whether Axl Rose was singing with autotune or not. His voice sounded superb the whole concert, and he was clearly singing live (not lip synching).

And with the weird, more electronic-sounding remix of Naveed. :yup:

Axl doesn't autotune his voice has been on top for a while, he was insane in halifax
I don't think Raine sounds the same in both versions of Automatic Flowers. In fact, I think they sound VERY different. Back then he was much more confortable singing certain songs.
His voice has changed a lot. He's still cant get to all those falsettos from Car Crash, All My Friends and such songs. But the TONE of his voice has changed a lot.
There's absolutely NO WAY in the world he can sing like he used to. I mean, like this.
He can sing those songs, but his voice has changed... and it's not about the falsettos, it's about the tone of his voice. I think it used to be a lot cooler back then. I still ove him and OLP, but it was a lot cooler and much more distinct back in the 90s. I would like hear a 2010 version of Let You Down. I bet he doesn't sound anything like this.
It's absolutely natural for someone's voice to change over time - no reason to fault anyone. It's natural with age, it's natural with the shifting climate of a person's life (i.e. being married with children now), and it's natural as your tastes and influences are changed and re-arranged over time. Other styles and tones appeal to you more at different times in your life.
The vibrato in his voice on the falsetto of the recently posted "Are You Sad?" is really, really nice - pretty similar to the sort of stuff he was doing back then. I don't know if he's necessarily "lost" anything, just changed in a lot of ways. "Wipe That Smile Off Your Face", the end, is another good, somewhat recent example. Still damn good - I know no one was saying he wasn't, but still.
I'd just like to say that people can bitch about Raine's vocal changes all they want, but at least we don't have to go through what blink-182 fans are going through... Tom's voice is horrible in any live performances of older songs.
I can't believe people are still talking about this.
