My point was that whether you liked AYD or not, it was still one of the better songs you could have voted for. And yet you didn't.

Meh, there is some decent song choices on there.

Just 'cause you don't like some of it doesn't mean it's bad for others.

2009 marked the return of Our Lady Peace, not just with another album, with a album that was a true return to their roots. It's been nearly 13 years since the Canadian rock band exploded onto the scene, and after numerous side projects and solo albums, Our Lady Peace seemed to have lost the luster the band once had. That all changed with the release of "Burn Burn," which signaled a return to the band's rock roots, and nothing captured that sound more than the lead off single on the album, "All You Did Was Save My Life," the song of the year for 2009.

Am I the only one who got annoyed by reading that? How in the hell is AYDWSML a return to roots? If that was the band's roots, I really doubt I would have ever gotten into them.

I think whoever wrote that was just using other articles out there before the album was released, its something we all have heard before.

I keep feeling like Vancouver is overrated. I just can't get into it.

I can't get enough of it. I think Empty's Theme Park is perhaps the greatest closing song of any album I've heard.

If there is one thing I wish Raine could do to emulate Matt, it would be for him to be able to cram so much emotion into the songs.

Now obviously their lives are different. Raine is happily married, has kids, etc. Matt on the other hand has bipolarity, has suffered from mental problems his whole life, etc. So they are coming from very different places.

Mental problems are in Raine's family also> Well more of his wife's so he is exposed to it..

I am seeing Matt in APril. Looking forward to it. I have not seen him live since 04 or 05'. I don't even have the last two cds yet.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Yeah, there's a huge difference between knowing someone who does, and actually having it.

I tend to agree.. I'm starting to think Vancouver might be the weakest of the solo albums.

I think his weakest is White Light Rock and Roll Review. Avalanche is his best, I think. Hospital Music was thick with emotion surrounding his personal overdose and mental health issues. I think Vancouver returns to the roots that Avalanche set.

But to each their own.

Avalanche is my favorite, and Hospital Music is an extremely close second. WLRRR was good, and I probably put it just above or even with Vancouver.
