Actually, Clumsy will be 13 in January... and Spiritual Machines will turn 10 during the tour next year (Dec. 2010)

WOAH WOAH WOAH! I just saw this advertised on the side of my facebook and did a double take and started freaking out a bit and realized that the only people who would care are my CM friends, so why not come back to the source (hi to anyone who still remembers me) and can I say WOAH again?!

This is amazing. I never expected them to do this.

I saw an ad for the OLP show in my city, and... well, I was thinking, "Heh heh heh... VIP."

I just remembered this post. May 23rd from the "Coolest damn thing OLP could do for their fans" thread.

Matt. wrote:It'd be nice to see songs thrown into their live set out of the blue more often.

Also, just an idea, but Jimmy Eat World just played a series of 10 dates for the ten year anniversary of the release of "Clarity." They played the record in its entirety from front to back. If I'm not mistaken, December of 2010 would be the 10 year anniversary of the release of Spiritual Machines. It would be incredible if OLP were to do something similar.

Epic Matt WIN. You should get free VIP tickets! Why should you pay for something you came up with?

Hey Saman! Yeah, I think so. I found out recently that a good friend also happens to be a huge OLP fan, so I think we'll go to one in Montreal together. However, he wants to see Spiritual Machines, and seeing all of Clumsy live is one of my childhood dreams come true, so we'll see who wins out!

They're probably doing it because those records are about 1,000 times better than anything they've done since.

Maybe they'll catch a creative spark and do a new album worthy of those...

Is this coming from one of the guys who was over-praising Burn Burn upon it's release? Kind of surprised, actually.

I have been hoping for that last part though. It'd be great if relearning Spiritual Machines could really light a new fire for the band.

Yeah, I've been back and forth on Burn Burn.

I just hope they put something better out next time around..

Yeah I'm pretty sure Steve's the main driving force behind this tour (and Trusty, of course). But you can't blame the guy, he hasn't had a chance in 8 whole years to play quite a huge chunk of their kickass back catalog.

I'm pretty sure this tour is happening because Raine peaked at his Christmas present from the guys about a month early.

You want the answer to this question?

1. You fans wanted something like this. (remember i asked you what you wanted? you think i was just curious as to what you crazy internet people thought? heheh)

2. Some bands the guys love and really respect have been doing similar tours and they found that both inspiring and kick ass

3. the guys want to test themselves both musically and technically, this is gonna be a big night both music and logistic wise, its a great way for olp to test themselves and see if a tour like this will kick ass and fans will love it (because maybe its something that can be done again ;) ) But that solely relies on you, the fans - so like get out there and see these shows people! Buy a ticket rob an old lady for hers, whatever you do you are not gonna want to miss any of these shows!

there you have it, your questions answered. :)
