VIP is expensive, but regular price tickets are around $35 - $50, so they are a lot more affordable. I just want to be there for both shows so that works for me.

Does the $199 include all fees? That's also a consideration since it seems like Ticketmaster prices are always 30 - 60% more than face price after fees are added in...

We all know the fair market value of concert tickets is very different from the Ticketmaster prices. At many concerts a scalper would be able to sell front row seats for much higher than ticket face value... but in the back of our hearts I'm sure we all prefer the first come or luck of the draw basis where we might get great seats with out forking over as much as we would if asked.

I think I've seen bands play these size venues with more than 2 price tiers for the tickets, ie instead of $35 / $50 they might have had a $35 / $50 / $65 pricing structure. But as it is, there is (hopefully) seats right up front that will cost $50.

As said above, a large number of seats in these venues will be great anyway, and the perks included in the $199 tickets will not interest everyone. So I kind of think it's just fine, you'll still be able to get great seats for $50.

And MindsOnLoan -- if they come near you prices will surely be lower (but maybe they would still offer a package for a premium price). Up north their ticket prices are a bit higher. In 2006 the shows in Canada that I saw cost $44 (Victoria) and $51 (Vancouver). In the US I think the highest I've paid was $22.50

Ah, good point. I was thinking this tour was more expensive or something, since my ticket to the Cleveland show back in August only cost $22.50 I think.

I was planning on getting VIP if they came to the US with it, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see the prices.

Trustworthy,

I am very pumped for this tour. I was thinking I would go to both shows in Regina, and then also to the show in Saskatoon. I would get VIP tickets for Toon Town. It would be expensive...but worth it?

I've never met the guys. Is this meet and greet a for-sure thing? Like, get a picture and say a few words? Or what? Do you know, Trustworthy?

I don't want to pay $199 x 2 or something to stand 40 feet away from them behind some other fans and then have them wave, say hello, and then get on the bus. I would like to actually shake their hands and maybe rip out a bit of hair or something...er...maybe not that part. ;) (well, maybe just Jeremy)

I would like to buy these VIP tickets asap though, so do you know, Truestworthy?

I didn't think about that I wonder when they're going to announce those "select" US city dates. I forgot about them. If they're going to do the full album tour at these cities I might get the VIP package for one. I really just want the book. I have pictures and autographs. I like saying hello and talking with them but I don't have $200 right now but after Christmas is another story.

It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Raine mentioned on twitter that they will also be bringing this to some select US cities. I'm sure you don't know or can't reveal which, but could you try to find out how close those dates are being to announced? I'd like to know if an announcement is coming this week before the Canadian shows go on sale or if the planning isn't that far along?

Trustworthy didn't mention my question. :( I hope he saw it and will be able to give hint or cryptic response!

It is kind of a bad time of the year for a lot of people to fork out that much money and there are a lot of people (like me) that would have to do it x2 per show.

Yeah, now I want to know if VIP is worth it too...

"And Finally a Meet and Greet with Our Lady Peace after the show"

I don't know where people are getting "a chance" to meet the band from.

The wording has since been changed in the blurb about the VIP tickets to now mention a meet and greet.

So, say that I go to ticket master and the presale has best available already on the First balcony only... does that mean that tickets are fucking selling fast and that nothing on the main level is available?

Really?? balcony in presale? Ticketmaster must have made a mistake!

It can not be selling that quickly in presales?

HAH.

Oh, you guys don't know the track record OLP has with presales.

Anyway...generally, presales have certain tickets set aside. Not all tickets are available. Very often, you'll get better tickets on the day of the general sale than you would on the day of the presale.

nope, I have no idea. ha. So it's best not to buy any tickets tonight and stand a better chance later.

I say we get CM Presale for the first row...

I think the point is supposed to be to give more resourceful fans multiple chances and also to provide a different timeframe if you're not free to buy tickets on the regular sale date. In some places tickets for the right band in a club or theater can sell out in seconds, and an amphitheater in minutes.

Depending on the band or show it may be a better lot, a worse lot, or a similar lot that's available in the presale and regular sale. It just depends. There may have been some very good seats in the presale that were already grabbed up and now the best that's left (of the presale lot) is not so good... hard to say.

That makes sense. For me, I will not be able to buy the tickets on Saturday. :)
