That's kind of what I'm thinking, too. Although Wridsasubway makes a good point in that I am already familiar with Toronto. It would cost so much more but I just think it'd be a lot fun. Cities don't scare me, so I'm not worried about that. It's mostly a "fun & expensive vs. familiar & less expensive" kind of predicament. But anyway, thank you!

I don't mean to bother you anymore because we have bombarded you with questions today, but when you have the chance, would you be able to explain a little bit about the Live Nation pre-sales and the pre-sale for Toronto?

I'm not sure how the Live Nation pre-sales work either...the panic ridden people of the CM need to know these things! lol

It's true! I think it's really funny how the moment dates pop up, mayhem ensues.

Trusty -- I have one question.

Raine mentioned on twitter that they will also be bringing this to some select US cities. I'm sure you don't know or can't reveal which, but could you try to find out how close those dates are being to announced? I'd like to know if an announcement is coming this week before the Canadian shows go on sale or if the planning isn't that far along?

I'm sure there's a lot of people in the US, especially those far from the Canadian border, who would love to see these shows but would totally feel stupid if we bought tickets to a Canadian date only to see later that a local show is added.

I'm really crossing my fingers that Los Angeles might be one of the US cities...

This tour is guaranteed to be fantastic. I've always dreamed of getting to see The Story of 100 Aisles played live (on the record it is the epitome of what I like about Jeremy's drumming), and I always dreamed of seeing The Wonderful Future live (until I did in 2002-- it was excellent) and since always kicked myself over not owning recording equipment at the time. I can still remember how upset I was, way back in high school in 2001, when my parents would not drive 3 hours to see them at their nearest stop on the Spiritual Machines tour.

I'm still convincing my parents to let me spend $200 on VIP tickets, but Mom isn't happy about my sister, my escort, not being beside me.

The tickets won't disappear too too quickly will they? *nervous lip bite.*

Haha Laurel, when did I spell cue or queue?

It would be pretty pathetic if they didn't, considering Raine lives there... heck, just go to his house and demand that they perform for you, I'm sure they're there playing SM and Clumsy over and over again as we speak to relearn them

You're so lucky to have experienced OLP live back then. I wasn't even a fan until 2005, but I was addicted to "Thief" when it came out; unfortunately I didn't look any further into the band that produced it at that time.

When you think about it, how many bands really do what OLP is about to do? Focus an entire tour on back-catalog that is of an almost entirely separate genre from the type of music they're doing today? I really commend the band for doing this, it requires much dedication to both relearning all the music and to your old-time fans who love all your old stuff.

I wish I knew how fast the damn VIP tickets are selling... ha. I want to wait a little to buy, but it hurts so bad knowing I'm taking risk.

From what I can tell is that they don't go on presale until tomorrow anyways - or so says the ticketmaster site.

Sir, I point you in the direction of Pearl Jam, the finest live rock act on the planet. What OLP is doing is amazing - but until they're doing 3 hour sets, changing setlists almost entirely overnight, and not afraid to play virtually any song in their catalog (Neon Crossing, I'm looking your direction) they aren't living up to their full potential.

Of course, when you think about it - no bands really do what Pearl Jam does.

Just checked, I guess they are for sale - I was just looking on Ticketmaster! Opps.

So I guess VIP are through .net/maple music and regular seats are through Ticketmaster?

Does anyone know why the London and Kitchener shows aren't listed on Ticketmaster?

Edit: Nevermind they're all on Livenation.

I still can't decide which concert I'm gonna go VIP for... I'm leaning towards SM, but I don't know.

On a completely different note. I need a certain Trustworthy person to check his PM's on an unrelated manner.

alright guys,
it's official... i'm going to BOTH nights in massey. I'm going to order my ticket on Fri if we figure out how this pre-sale works.
I was really excited last night about just going to see clumsy, but in the back of my mind I kept thinking about SM and I just decided I can not miss this.
I'm really excited and I can not wait to see this.

Sorry if i'm reposting info, but i haven't been keeping up with this section of the forum :P

The radio station X92.9 has a ticketmaster prebuy for the Calgary shows starting Thursday at 10 am. I can PM the prebuy password to anyone who wants it.

I may get tickets to one of the shows, if i can afford it.

Ok, since this tour is special, I bought VIP packages to both shows in Edmonton. Well, I bought the SM package, my mom bought me the Clumsy package for Christmas.

Booo, sucks so much when schedules work out like that. :(

It's not work (though I've not checked with them yet) so much as my choir term dates. :(

Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
