Are there anymore details?
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Well it must be something big. The reporter says "Our thoughts are with OLP through this hard, tragic time".

That does sound very bad unless they don't know what's going on and that's their standard statement.

Raine tweeted an apology for cancelling the show earlier but it didn't contain details. It did, however contain several exclamation points... so I'm ruling out the thought that is concerns anyone in his family.

8:44 PM --> MrRaineMaida OLP show in syracuse canceled. apologies to any fans we've disappointed.a family emergency caused us to forgo show. evidence of life!!!!!

Doubtful, but I could see how that would be viewed as tragic.

How? Tragic's not the right word. Oh, and a reschedule is in thought.

It's a joke. As most guys wouldn't exactly look forward to hearing they knocked a girl up.

Especially when they've already got two or three young ones and have just hit the road to promote their new album!!

Or in the case of Steve, who is not married and it would just be some random girl, since he has a reputation for getting around lol.

Don't count on a reschedule of this show in particular -- they cancelled their entire southwest / west coast leg of the tour last album due to a health scare with Chantal which was never rescheduled. And this one is just an opening slot?

Not to worry though, the northeast loves OLP and they play there quite a lot.

I wonder what this is though? I can't imagine them cancelling a show due to news of a pregnancy. Exciting and worth celebrating sure but not exactly an emergency!

I agree. That or a serious accident or sudden illness.

Ugh I was so bummed out when I got all the way to the gate at the show and it said they had canceled. I really hope it's nothing too serious!

There will be a reschedule. A local radio station had a deal for an acoustic show with the band. If you went to bars at midnite, u could get tickets. they'll reschedule for that.

I'm guessing it's got something to do with Jeremy. Just read both his and Raine's tweets from today.

taggart7 Toronto. I'll play for time, and pray she's been released far above the troubled wind, and land safely in the glory, waiting.

MrRaineMaida thanks for all the well wishes.i"ll makes sure they get to the right place.VFESTtoday
