But when "off-topic" starts to mean "talking about the same damn topic over-and-over again", it gets a little old.

Seriously, we get that you guys don't like Raine's singing recently, and that "Burn Burn" is uninspired, and that falsetto is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and blah, blah, blah. I freaking love the album, and everyone I've played it for has loved it (fans and non-fans alike), so it gets a little tiresome when every thread on here is hi-jacked and turned into a negative-fest discussing the same damn topics.

The fact that I dislike White Flags has nothing to do with the live version. I just feel that they overthought the production of it and tried to do too much with the guitar and the sound of the vocals. It's meant to be simpler.

I don't hear the live version and i like the studio version.....

I don't think White Flags is too complicated. Look at some of OLP's best work: Potato Girl, or If You Believe. Both of them were incredibly orchestrated and complex.

I wouldn't put White Flags up there with them, but I think it's definitely in the top half of their work.

Songs like Potato Girl and If You Believe were meant to be more complex. When listening to White Flags, it seems to me like they overthought the production of it, like it's one of their songs that should have been produced in a more simple way. I'd rank it near the bottom of their catalouge.
