Yeah, I like albums. Both as a physical entity and as a format with which to structure songs.
The only time I've ever iTuned something I really wanted was because it was an obscure british band that would cost a bunch of money to ship here.

I'll admit it, I rarely buy physical cd's anymore. A lot of the music I'm interested in cannot be found in the local HMV. Currently I live about forty minutes away from the nearest record store that would carry what I look for (Music Traders for those familiar with Winnipeg). I have a subscription to Emusic which suites me quite well. 17.99 for 50 downloads a month. That's 4-5 albums for what is essentially the cost of one album at HMV. While I enjoy having a physical copy, its going on my ipod regardless. However, I will buy vinyl if its a record I'm really looking forward too. Most vinyl releases these days come with a download code for MP3 copies.

It is odd for me. I am much older then you young ones so every 5-10 years something new comes along. I still remember my older brother having an 8 track player in his stero player. I remeber when I was a little kid my next door neighbor had a portable player that played 45's.

I am going to eventually get the ALbum cause OLP are the only band I truly love that I have nothing on vinyl..

I went from cassette tapes, to albums, to cd's to an IPOD..

BTW When I was a teenager albums only cost about $3.99-$4.99, $5.99-$6.99 if it was a double album. I really miss gatefolds. Those were a single album whose cover opened.. YOu do not have that with cd's..

What was best was the color vinyl. The Beatles had 3 albums. The White Album( came on white vinly) They also had a blue and red greatest hits. Both were on red and blue vinyl. I also bought an ablum by the 80's band Simple Minds called New Gold Dream(81-84). It came on purple and gold vinly..They also use to have picture disc. I have Def Leppard's Hysteria on Picture Disc Vinyl
