Hey Matt

At the RXP sessions Raine said he hated doing SOT live the past 5 years. He now likes doing it live. Maybe that is why he screwed up the lyrics..

As for setlist.. ( and I do not want to hear Pearl Jam does it so why cant' insert band name here). Most if not all bands play the same list or similar list night from night. The average fan is not going to go to multiple shows. Maybe 2 the most. If it really mattered they would not go. I really do not care if OLP does the same set or not. It is a live show and anything can happen. Sure I like them to mix it up a bit. Maybe change the songs around( the order) or try a new way of doing it. Other then that if it bothered me I would not go to as many shows as I do.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Concerts aren't nearly as exciting when you can see the setlist so you know which songs are coming up. It's thrilling when you don't know when they'll play what, which songs they have in order, etc.

I've seen tons of bands that do different setlists one night after the other. Even if the setlists are almost the same, there is at least one different song brought in to change it up at least a little. Even though there may be more bands that I haven't seen setlists from that would prove what you posted, it seems like it's only some bands that play the exact same setlists night in and night out.

Even if that is the case though, I doubt it's the same set for over a month straight.

I saw Sting years ago. In March and then again in Oct. He did the same set.

OLP have changed up their setlist with a song here or there on past tours and people still complain. As I said if it was aproblem you would just not go. End of Story..

I think cause they are playing so many shows in a short time, lots of media in print and audio they really do not have time to practice other songs. I saw them do Denied in a soundcheck in 05' and they just started doing it live thie year(5 years later). Believe it or not sometimes they do not like how something sounds.. Something is just not right and they do not so the songs..

Sure, sometimes you just don't feel comfortable playing a song, it doesn't sound good, etc. But that means there are, like, 40 songs that don't sound good to them. Songs they wrote.
I just wanna get out,

That's the spirit. If they feel they're much better live than in the studio, a good way to demonstrate that is by playing more of their catalogue.

I just saw an interview in which Jeremy says, "I think it's funny that there are songs we've never even played as a band live before. We just never went back to learn them. It's funny." Then went on to basically say Burn Burn has no filler songs, but past albums did.

I kinda think Monkey Brains (Filler) White Flags. They all kinda have a similar sound to them. I was expecting a chorus from one song in another song.

Ha that's like the bulk of the album... you mean the songs between MB and WF right?

Meh... I'm not a fan of White Flags. I like the lyrics, but the production and mxing of the guitar and vocals try too hard and take away from the song.

I just pretty much fast forward White Flags until the guitar solo. That's about it for me.

Yep, not a fan of White Flags at all. After more and more listens, now I usually skip Dreamland, White Flags and Signs of Life. Refuge continues to grow on me though.

I like White Flags. Maybe just because I liked the live version so much. I really like the chorus. It has a nice up and down feel to it.

I usually skip The End, Never Get Over You, and Signs of Life. Sometimes I skip Dreamland and AYD as well. I never skip Escape Artist or Refuge.

Am I the only one who just doesn't skip songs when I listen to albums? That'd be like skipping the bad scenes in a movie or half the chapters in a book. (y'know, besides the part where cds don't have structured narratives).

That depends for me. If I'm out driving, I usually just let it ride and go the whole way through. But if I'm just sitting around listening to a CD, I'll usually skip the songs I'm not as fond of.
