"There's a black cat in the sky!"

That one always made me WTF.

Waiting to Exist wrote:I don't like Supersatellite as a whole, so that's really more a "least favorite OLP songs" topic for me.

And I love Story About a Girl, too. I've been listening to Gravity a lot recently, actually. And HIPT.

And Happiness, but that's not really related.

WHAT?? Am I the only one who loves supersatellite? The opening lyrics are brilliant "i've read the Bible, i've read Dylan,
and i'm reading people now, because it's much more chilling"

I like Supersatellite, but it's one of my least favorites on Naveed.

Anyway as for more cheese lyrics, how about "somehow knew these wings were stolen"? Dude, Raine's wife has totally raped his manliness. There are actually a lot more cringeworthy lyrics in BB than in Gravity.

i like the chorus of refuge. It brings me back to the chills and emotion of my first listens to 4am and thief.

At first I was hearing "It's a thoughtless job" not "It's a father's job"... I think I liked thoughtless job better, but the lyric as-is gives things a whole new (and more personal obviously) meaning :) It's a beautiful song.

huh, the lyrics are:

It's a fall
Who's got to tell you
that this world
was not meant for you
I see signs all around
you'll get through

I think someone said this already but for me it's this:

Waiting by the telephone. Breathing through a giant rubber hose ~ Picture

Wait, what? What are you talking about Raine? Someone please explain this one to me.
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

Someone so upset they are dying...waiting for a phone call from someone else. Giant rubber hose = oxygen/life support

I actually enjoy Picture, but that line definitely bugs the hell out of me.
