Doubt it.

I live in Edmonton and I'm definitely going. I probably won't go to Crash Karma, though but OLP for sure.

Chantal opened for them at the 2001 War Child concert in Winnipeg.

Raine also played guitar and sang with Chantal for a couple of songs.

I actually meant Crash Karma... but I guess I should have explained that.

Johnny, with the exception of Mother Mother, you missed a kickass show.

I went to k-os at Edfest on Friday and the there was nowhere near the amount of people who showed up for OLP. I'd say the k-os crowd was a good quarter (possibly even less) of OLP's crowd! Sonic plays old-school OLP to death, so the crowd was a good mix of old and new fans.

Raine has tended to go flat in the last few OLP shows I've been to, but his vocals were strong for the most part. Sounds like he's saving his falsetto for the live shows because he hit quite a few high notes yesterday. And they only played four tracks off of the new record. My friend, who I wouldn't call an OLP fan, said they played all of her favourite songs. I forgot that they are playing "Denied" at live shows now...it sounded great! I wasn't expecting to hear "In Repair" so I was totally psyched when they played that over "Life." I like "Life," but "In Repair" is my favourite OLP song of all-time.

did raine tell some story about how he promised some random dude he'd play something off of spiritual machines?

considering the set lists for shows are effing identical, i'm wondering if some of raine's lead-ins to songs are identical too.

I was there and he never said he'd promised to play anything to anyone :)
