Yeah, but I wish the guys would put a single out there like Monkey Brains or Paper Moon... brilliant songs that deserve to be singles.

Why, Trusty, is it that they seem to determined to release the most mainstream-like songs as singles? TEIWWB is a great song but quite formulaic compared to some other options. I'd say Never Get Over You would be a great choice too. Back in the day Carnival and Superman's Dead certainly weren't "mainstream". Can you push for MB, Escape Artist or Paper Moon as the next (third) single?

I think people are looking for something a little different on the radio these days.....MB, Paper moon, Escape artist are amazing unique songs! They need to get these out there for people to hear, to remind everyone OLP's still got it!

I want a Monkey Brains Music Video... I'll make it even. Bring the band to me or bring me to the band and I could make the coolest damn music video... for free! Tempting, I know.

I agree. Heck, even "Refuge" or "Signs of Life" would make for good singles.

"The End is Where it Begins" will only get lost in the shuffle. Like someone mentioned earlier, it's too formulaic.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

Meh, I think it'll do okay, but definitely not great. The chorus is pretty catchy, but I agree, it's really not memorable enough to stick with people. It might have made a good third or fourth single, but it's too similar to "All You Did..." to be the second release.

I'm actually starting to think that "The Right Stuff" might be their best chance at a big hit on the album. I don't know why, but it kind of reminds me of "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven (except I couldn't stand that song). Not necessarily the actual music, but they're just both dancy, pop-rocking tunes from older bands that don't usually make that sort of music, and like "Paralyzer", I could actually see TRS being played at clubs (not sure if that's a good or bad thing). If they're going to go for the mainstream singles, they should at least choose one that's memorable.

What I don't get is on the Bonus DVD that comes with the delux version of the album there is already a music video for The Right Stuff... are they going to release it as a single. Was it supposed to be the first single and they fell out of love with the song?? I don't get why they would make a music video for a 'bonus' song before the album comes out...
