'Never Get Over You' has such an amazing chorus. Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Check out the amazon.com clips if you haven't already,

I damn well better be able to listen to the record on the 14th. I'm sick of OLP jipping out on the US fans.

I was supposed to not like 'Never Get Over You'... haha. But that sounds like one of the most spectacular of the record.

Did Duncan say Raine used classic falsetto on 3 occurances? So, Paper Moon. Lets play a game, What other song do you think Falsetto will sneak into?

Trustworthy has already said that Waiting for Something to Happen is not Time Bomb.

And the July 14 release on MSN will be for Canadians only, but I'm sure all the songs will be ripped and put on the net somewhere. I'll try myself to rip some onto Youtube (this time that bitch Sue Marie can't stop me,)

I just listened to the clips on Amazon. I wanted to wait because I didn't think being tired at 2 am would give me a good opinion.

Honestly, I am pretty damn impressed. You can feel the emotion and feeling in some of the songs. I closed my eyes a couple times listening to a few of the clips.

'Never get over you' has one part at the beginning of the chorus where Raine sings "If you walk!" That reminds me of a song called "Life is Beautiful" where the singer sings "Life....is beautiful, but its complicated, and we barely made it."

I am psyched. I wish us Americans can go to the listening party.

Oh yeah, I will be at the Fillmore in Detroit, most likely with the bundle ticket package. If it is live signings, I am name dropping you Trusty. I want to catch the band off guard. Maybe see Duncans sharpie slide a bit.

It will probably be like when they did the CD listening party for Spriitual Machines. Besides Ray's talking you would get ever 1-2 minutes saying YOU ARE LISTENING TO THE OUR LADY PEACE SPIRITUAL MACHINE LISTENING PARTY.. I am willing to bet it will be the same here..

BTW I saw Denied in a souncheck in 05'. It was a little odd cause it has been about 11 y ears( now 15) since that sone was done live.. Nothing compares to seeing Carnival though.. Brian and I lucked out there. Now if they started doing that again it would be cool..(crossesfingers)

Tues July 14th the band is playing Ottawa. Was thisclose to going. Then they announced a NYC show

Hmm, hopefully it's not like that Spiritual Machines thing then. Were the songs still in full though? Meaning if someone were to rip them could they just splice out the unwanted parts?

Yeah, they seem to ignore the oddity songs from SM, Happiness and Clumsy unfortunately... though they've been exploring Naveed lately, as we've seen (Denied, Supersatellite and Hope).

Honestly it would be nice to hear some older songs not done in awhile again.. The Naveed songs always sounded good live. Esp Dirty Walla and SUpersatelite)

Off Clumsy I always thought it would be great to hear Never Let You Down again live. THat was a great track.

Off Happiness-Of course I always say Blister cause I love that song, but Stealing Babies and Thief were amazing songs done live

Off SM- MIddle Of Yesterday and Mafia should be brought back

Off Gravity- Bring Back The Sun

Off last cd- Love and Trust

I am going by what songs I felt were great done live and that alone.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

They played Carnival when they came to St. Louis in 2005. It was prettttty great. Raine intro'd it (as I imagine he did in most of the cities where they played it) by saying, "We're gonna play a song we haven't played in a while... we're gonna play it because we know if we suck, you guys'll forgive us." It was sweet and I wished to kiss him.
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,

They did not do it at the show cause Raine said he felt uncomfortable about it. We asked afterwards.

At this point with Raine any song he attempts to sing and forgets the words. The audience usually sings it even though he may not. That happened with Potato Girl in 01', In Repair( well his guitar string broke on that one and it was getting changed) in 01' and many many more I can not remember..

That is the fans for you thoughj. They carry you through..
