Wow! The clips are great. They have a quality about it that seems very... honest. It's hard to explain. Healthy in Paranoid Times had a lot of good songs individually, but there was a kind of contrived feeling that kept cropping up. Somehow, with Burn Burn it seems to be more down-to-earth and from the heart.
Overall, there seem to be a few standout tracks for me. The intro to Monkey Brains only seems to add to the kickass-ness, and I was completely thrown off guard by this version of White Flags. I was so-so with the live recording, but wow, I'm really to feel it now. Very passionate. Likewise with Dreamland. From the very little I've been able to listen to, I think a great follow-up single would be White Flags, Dreamland, and then Monkey Brains.
Sounds good, though I gotta say I do prefer the more rocky stuff though and the other songs definitely seem more gentle. Not to say they're bad, but that seems to be the overall theme of the record. (Once again it's hard to tell from 30-sec clips.)
Also, just one final criticism (only out of love of the band)- Raine's production feels a little too overproduced sometimes. His voice occasionally has too much of a backing-vocal-radio-friendly sound to it sometimes and isn't allowed to stand on it's own.. (I'm looking at you AYDWSML) kinda takes away from the overall power. More attention to instruments in some parts would also be good. If they produce under Raine again, hopefully they can concentrate on these things..
Otherwise, I'm pretty excited. Bring on Burn Burn!!

I'm really liking these 30 sec clips. And it seems more like a natural album. The songs flow (well maybe not Monkey Brains) together. Each seem to start of soft and end big.
Lots of piano/synthesizers too. And I'm really digging Raine's production.
I'm excited. The first I can say I'm really excited for this album.
Also, are all these clips the beginning of the songs besides White Flags?

I'm trying, but OLP isn't going to to many places (Yet), especially in the US.
Remember, TW, push for a Minnesota show... that'll fill my US show needs.

Good question. I think they are... why the hell would White Flags be the one to stand out like that? Raine's voice is so good in Dreamland and White Flags.

Standouts:
- Monkey Brains (the intro is purely sick)
- Paper Moon
- Dreamland
From the 30 second clips, I'm not really digging any of the new songs we've not heard before, unfortunately. But here's to hoping they win me over as we eventually hear more than 30 seconds. "Refuge" seems to start off almost like a church organ, I dunno how I feel about it... but there aren't any vocals so I'll wait to hear more.
