This isn't in regard to the video... but the track is killing it at Canadian radio right now. Top 10 in both rock formats. It moved from 61-35 (the biggest jump on the chart) on the Singles charts in regards to airplay. The only rock acts that are charted higher right now are Green Day, Nickelback and Kings of Leon...... and this is all after two weeks.
As for future singles...from what we've heard so far... Dreamland seems like an obvious choice. That's the type of track that would do well at rock radio.. but would be able to crossover a bit. I think Monkeybrains would do really well at rock radio too.
That's what I meant, the song, not the video. I'm not sure yet how it's doing on the radio in the US, but if it's already their #2 song next to Somewhere Out There, I have no doubt it can be as big as SOT.
Plus with the video for it, which is definitely similar to Twilight advertizements, MTV and teenage girls everywhere should eat it up.
I have the clips of Dreamland and Paper Moon on my iPod. I played it for all of the girls in my class, and asked which one they preferred. All three said that they liked Dreamland more than Paper Moon, although they enjoyed both quite a bit. They said the songs sounded rather similar, though.
Music Choice is a series of channels that come with certain cable providers. It doesn't have music videos or anything. It has the song, pictures of the artist, and different facts about the artist.
So far I've only seen Superman's Dead, Clumsy, Somewhere Out There, and now All You Did Was Save My Life played. When they are played, it's usually on Retro Rock, Rock, and somebody on here said they sometimes pop up on Alternative.
I really, really wish they were going to the MMVAs. There's a bunch of new artists, and it'd be nice to see some MMVA veterans other than Alexisonfire and Billy Talent.
I'm so mad I have a ball tourney when the MMVAs are on.
