Yeah, it's usually Lando, Laurel, Neil, and Johnny. Then we usually also have Codes and Ivewaited, but they seem to be feeling Monkey Brains and Paper Moon. But I think a good portion of people here didn't have a postive outlook on the album for quite some time, at least until Monkey Brains was posted.

I haven't seen any of them say anything about the songs though, other than Johnny saying something (can't recall it though) about Monkey Brains.

Yeah, maybe they're just holding off 'til the album... which is a good idea actually...

I'm sure AYD may have turned some of them off the album entirely, unfortunately... but hopefully they'll give the rest of the music a chance and tell us what they think. AYD is definitely not a representation of the album as a whole, as we've come to realize.

It seems Dreamland is falling in line with AYD, which makes me believe it will be the second single. What I mean by that is that those two songs seem to have a different production style than everything else we've heard from the album (Monkey Brains, Paper Moon, Escape Artist solo).

While I wish the album was stellar track for track the whole way through, if the other six songs (plus iTunes bonus tracks) can match up to the excellence of Monkey Brains and Paper Moon, I'll be happy.

although the production in dreamland is different and like ayd i think the lyrics are pretty cool from what we've heard and could be a good song, all we've heard so far is the chorus can't really judge the song by that

Yeah from what I can hear at the very beginning of the Sony clip it sounds like Raine was just coming out of some kick ass vocals in the bridge... so the song's still in my goodlist. And I certainly prefer the song to AYD personally... well anything's better than AYD lol. But no, it's a great song; Gravityish but a great tune nonetheless

You know...there IS a clip of most of Dreamland from that live show in PEI.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFS0q4T5WWM

It's not studio quality, but it gives you an idea of what the song is like.

I really like that sample of Paper Moon, but God damn the vocals in the verses remind me of the verses in Complicated by Avril Lavigne, and in a really bad way.

Umm no what? It's the same structure vocally for the verses. Not saying that it's a bad thing by OLP... it's just a comparison.

Paper Moon is amazing. I told this with the clip posted by Sony and I confirm on this clip. The song remember me in the part without drums a song of Raine's solo cd...

However for AYDWSML OLP made a good choice because the single is a hit yet in Canada and US.

Burn Burn is gonna be AMAZING!!!!

A little bit. But not enough for me to think about that song while listening.

Yeah, many songs are somewhat reminiscent of others. Take Gavin Degraw's hit "I Don't Wanna Be", for example... the beginning riff in that song copies the riff from One Man Army (about 1:58 into the song)

Trustworthy will we have got a live version of Paper Moon play only with piano like Julia arranged by Sarah Slean?

Holy shit, I never noticed that. It's exactly the same.

Haha yep, I just wonder if it was intentional or not. A lot of other riffs (before or after 1999) might sound like that too though.
