You said Paper Moon reminded you of another OLP song. Was it Consequences of Laughing or Annie? Those are the two songs I can come close to the sound somewhat. Definitely a Happiness Feel..
I found it funny how a line about Wings made it into Dreamland. That seems be Raine's new obsession now..
Ha, agreed. And they already have two songs with "wings" already under there belt with Made to Heal and Our Time is Fading, now we add All You Did Was Save My Life and Dreamland. Need to get a few more in there if you ask me.

And can anyone under stand what is being said in Paper Moon... "We can put out like candles, blue like paper moon." I know thats wrong, but thats what I'm making out... my ears suck.

Don't forget Raine's solo cd that had Rat Race. WOODEN WINGS..
I even have a T-shirt with the wooden wings on it..

I don't think it really sounds that forced, to me it sounds a lot like the parts In Repair and One Man Army, where Raine goes "through the place EYE know EYE'm coughing" and "oh wait, I'M in repair, LIFE that we share".
It just surprised me is all. Kind of, "Okay, listening to song... oh!... alright then..."
I can remember the sound of these two song clips from listening to them yesterday, which is a good sign, because usually I'm not so great I remembering stuff like this. I can just hear Paper Moon in the back of my brain.

Wow, in the short time I didn't log on we got this? Not bad, not bad.
I'm really digging what I've heard of Paper Moon. The falsetto kind of caught me off guard, but in a good way. The chorus is already replaying over and over in my head. Very, very catchy.
Dreamland... I'm not too sure about it at the moment. It seems more slowed down than the live version, and Raine's vocals are drowning out the instruments like on AYD. It seems like the songs that are definitely going to be singles have this style of production, but fortunately the songs like Monkey Brains and Paper Moon don't. I'm not saying the song is bad, I just found the production a bit unwelcoming for me. I don't really see it being as big of a hit as other people do, but I could be wrong, what the hell do I know.

Yeah I can see where you're coming from though, and it's certainly possible that Raine literally "forced" himself to use the falsetto at some points in the songs because he knew that die-hard nutcase fans like us needed to hear it again at least just once, LOL.

I'm vise versa I guess. I prefer All You Did, Paper Moon, and Dreamland type style, 'cause I like to make out what is being said, unlike Monkey Brains. I love that song, but the production screams 'demo'.
Strong Alibi wrote::P LMAO Trustworthy! do you really think we can believe that these aren't the final studio versions? But you're probably right that these clips don't showcase the best of the two songs. But it sure does make me all the more damn excited to hear all of "Paper Moon"!
When HIPT was about to be released, we found some clips on a promo website, funded by Sony, and the end product was different on a couple of songs, most notably Where Are You?.
<nam_kablam> I'll be naked holding a ":O" sign while pumping their door

im inclined to believe these are all demo or unmixed versions of new songs we are hearing-- even though the quality sucks super bad.. raines vocal tracks are supppperrr rough and unmixed, especially with monkey brains and since they are recording a new song to put on the cd soon it's definitely not completely mastered or done. i do this stuff for a living and i can only imagine how much last minute tweaking they are doing.
that would be kind of cool though actually if they released to us a ton of bogus tracks and then the real thing is something completely different.
i think trustworthy might be hinting at that?
but i can say trustworthy proved me wrong and was right about burn burn being awesome. im super psyched for it now from these tiny little clips.

Dreamland is great, but there's something about it that irks me. It seems... I don't know, plain?
So it's great and plain at the same time? Ít seems very radio friendly, and in my opinion would have been the better lead single instead of AYDWSML. Can't wait to hear the finished product.
