It probably cant tackle anything Spiritual machines or before though.

I completely agree, but I remember people being on the positive side when it came to HIPT when it first came out though.

LOL, funny how Sony is so quick to put these clips up but hasn't updated the OLP.com website since A Decade (lol the album, not the timespan)... even though they released an OLP Playlist album since then.

Oh well, I'm grateful :D

I don't think it really sounds that forced, to me it sounds a lot like the parts In Repair and One Man Army, where Raine goes "through the place EYE know EYE'm coughing" and "oh wait, I'M in repair, LIFE that we share".

I don't remember anything about coughing... :P

Anyway, I completly agree with your statement though.

I thought the lyric was coughing?!

Anyway I just noticed, of the three songs that Sony has posted, we know one is a single (AYD), and it's been rumored that Dreamland is the second single... so does this mean Paper Moon will be the third single? Hope so, we need some Raine falsetto out there in the world.

The sad thing is that AYD was written at the last second and to me doesn't appear to reflect the theme of the album, and since OLP put it out as their first single since 2005 people might just decide it's too radio-friendly and brush the whole album off or avoid it.

Yeah really really nice find!

Paper Moon is by far the standout of the two clips - I really want to hear more of that guitar you hear at the end and where it goes. Sounds like Steve is cutting some good stuff on the guitar!

I think they might have chosen a bad section of Dreamland to show (that's if they meant to show it) but my head has an image of it building up to something, especially with those trumpets (?) you can hear in the background.

With the good portion of Monkey Brains shown (which I adore, really good stuff) and the promise of these two clips I think Burn, Burn has some potential to silence the doubters even if AYDWSML is a little underwhelming. I've already said I'm psyched for it but everything else I see is getting me even more looking forward to when it comes out, which is what I naturally will do as a fan but it's also what it should be doing as an album so things are on the up! Go OLP! :D

I like Dreamland, but as others have said, this sounds like the part where the slowdown before the bridge occurs. I really enjoy the chorus though. A guilty pleasure!

Paper Moon does sound really nice. You know what it reminds me of? Raine's solo work. I don't know why. And I also hear a little Happiness... in it. I think it has awesome potential!

That guitar riff on Paper Moon, it doesn't remind me of OLP, it reminds me of Life Goes On by Fair Ground.

I know what you're talking about with the trumpets sound, but that is just guitar from the sound of it.

The clip of Dreamland is the first chorus leading into the second verse.

And I agree that the clip of Paper Moon reminds me of Happiness. Stealing Babies to be specific.

The guitar on Paper Moon reminds me Annie...is the same type of guitar....

Matt,

You said Paper Moon reminded you of another OLP song. Was it Consequences of Laughing or Annie? Those are the two songs I can come close to the sound somewhat. Definitely a Happiness Feel..

I found it funny how a line about Wings made it into Dreamland. That seems be Raine's new obsession now..
