Agreed, hoarding stuff is bad. Sawyer hoarded everything on LOST, and everyone hated him. And then there was a polar bear shoot out, and the others, and time travel, and jumps to the past and future memories, and the wait...what was I talking about? Oh yeah, GO WINGS!

having read your insightful post and after much (read: how ever long it took me to type much) contemplation i can only conclude that hoarding is clearly good.. polar bears rule and sidney crosby needs to take the cup back to nova scotia, but really i hate the pens.

When I first heard that live version of Monkey Brains, I was a little nervous. I like the sound, but I felt that the band was trying to hard to make a harder and different sound. Then I heard that clip of the bridge on OLP.net, and I didn't think it sounded to well (although it's hard to judge without the rest of the song).

Then I hear this verse and chorus and am totally digging the way it was produced. Goood stuff!

If Pittsburgh falls in the playoffs and nobody’s around to watch it, does Sidney Crosby’s crying still make a sound?

 OMG RAINE'S FALSETTO IS BACK!!! DAMN!! Codes was right, this Monkey Brains sample alone pwns Gravity and HIPT!!!!

And before the chorus hit in this clip I wasn't too sure if I was feeling it, but man oh man Raine's voice is fucking sweet in the chorus... can't effing wait for Paper Moon now!!!

Where did Raine use a falsetto in that clip of Monkey Brains?

To me it sounds quite a bit like falsetto where he starts "They're coming after you"... definitely a higher pitch than all the live performances theyve done of it... either way it sounds great, Raine's voice is ace.. I love how he vocalizes the word "after" -- it sounds a lot like his old vocal style

They're coming after yoouuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

Is Raine paranoid about a butterfly invasion? I can't wait to hear the whole thing, suddenly I don't want that bridge to come in and slow it down.

Yeah I can't wait for the whole song either... damn so much good news today.... the Monkey Brains studio clip being 100X better than the live clips + Gravity/HIPT, The Right Stuff taken off the album (it was okay but I'm so glad to hear the band admit it didn't sound right), Trusty saying All You Did stands out as different from the whole rest of the album, and Steve just kicking some major ass in the Monkey Brains clip!!

Damn, the countdown is on

I'm expecting this to get some major play on my iPod, listening to the two clips of Monkey Brains back and forth gives an idea of what the whole track will sound like. I liked Right Stuff, there was just something nice about it. There were a couple occasions when the band was busking that Steve really seemed to be digging it.

LOL on behalf of me and ... well just me.... I cant speak for everyone else... sorry for being so negative way too early in the game... we'll know better from now on... totally pumped for July 21 now. Monkey Brains is amazing, it is absolutely up there with pre-Gravity OLP.

PLEASE tell the band to make it a single!!!!

This could have the same impact that Superman's Dead did for Clumsy!

Please, it haaaas to be a single! As much as I love Dreamland from what I've heard, release this as the second single! And why limit themselves to 3 singles? Why not 4 or 5, if they are great songs like they say they are? You don't even need videos for all.
