The song, especially the last half, is a lot like all those old OLP songs that got me through some tough times. Sorry to get all mushy I'm just sayin.
I'm connecting with it the same way. I think they did a great job because of that.
She's looking for some courage
She feels faithless, she feels earthless
She wants to run
She's strugglin' for purpose
I tell her hang in you know it's worth it

After reading through ALL OF THOSE COMMENTS, I'm here. Sigh. Look what happens when I go away for a weekend. Trench releases their video, OLP releases their video... wow. Nice 'welcome home' present!
I was a bit disappointed in the video, I must say. The song is growing on me, as it seems to be doing with everyone else, and it seems to be a lesser evil than what I was making it out to be.
Back to the video. It was a bit choppy and hard to watch, and seemed to be a little pointless, but I loved the shots of the band performing.
I'm still not too familiar with the song (I've been too busy to pay a whole lot of attention to it), but it's growing on me for sure.
I came home after school to catch the last half hour of MuchOnDemand, and just caught the end of the video. To me, it seemed catchy, but I couldn't quite see it being a frequent on Much.
Jer mentions at the beginning of the second part that they're recording a song within the next few weeks that's to be on the album! Wonder if that means an addition to the tracklist or just finishing up a song thats already listed on the tracklist?
Trustworthy??
And the interviewer asks about Raine's voice change!! Is this a first??
Jer: "in the past... we would track a song and then realized that it ended up being too high of a key for Raine to sing comfortably"...
hmm!!
And lastly, apparently the album title Burn Burn is, according to Jeremy, from a quote by Jack Kerouac... which I verified as being true here:
I think it's kind of odd that the band is so proud of Burn Burn just being the four of them in studio again, yet there's a cowriter on AYD. Not criticizing, but it's just a bit of an oxymoron, I suppose.
