Woah. What the heck. Same EXACT stuff going on in Weezer land right now (well, a few days ago). We even got the same vague response from folks in-the-know. AND the song title rhymes with this one, "Softies". It's like deja vu, internet style. :freak:

So I have Steve as a friend on facebook and I sent him a message after the rivoli show basically to say it was great to meet him and the show rocked and I cant wait for the new record. He responded this monring with this:

"Hey Paul,

Thanks for all the support. The new record should hopefully be out this summer, but you never know. We are playing some festivals in Canada this summer though, so I'm excited about that.

Thanks so much for coming and hanging in there for the sweaty Rivoli show. Hope that we'll see you again soon.

p.s. We just recorded ourselves playing the new record live, audio and video. we're probably gonna put up pieces of it on line so be on the lookout!"

The whole new record...thats awesome...I cant wait for these audio and video clips to go up on .net
